[She tries to think of what she might have heard in that regard.] I... didn't hear about that. But now's not really the time to ask, anyway. Who has been looking after your wounds?

McCoy? Mia? You? [He settles back and sips another bit of water.]

I hadn't had the chance to just yet, but if there's anything more I could do to help, I can try.

I'm not the doctor, sweetness; I've no idea what needs to be done.

[But horrible second-degree burns are lurking under those bandages, Raine. Chance of infection is high with such widespread injury. And burns are painful, which is why McCoy has him on so many painkillers.]

Then I'll see what needs to be done.

[She doesn't confirm with the doctor just yet, though, instead closing her eyes to try and gauge with her magic.]

[Jack closes his eyes, too. It's nice to be taken care of by Raine. So nice.]

[She'll have to move some of those bandages to get a better look, but eventually there will be magic cast, a warm glow of soothing spells as she holds her hand out over him, to stabilize the body and help ward against infection. If she puts enough force behind it, it should help with some of the surface wounds, urging the burned flesh to dissipate enough so the skin can reinvigorate itself at a quicker rate.

He'd still need the weeks of rest to recover fully, but hopefully this would make it all that much easier for the recovery to progress smoothly.]

Ahh...[A slight gasp and then the magic begins to truly do its work. The relief is not immediate and the numbness causes that knitting skin not to register entirely in his brain, but the pirate can feel SOMETHING happening, and he is appreciative.]

[Casting takes a lot of energy. She gives a sigh when she finishes, letting the glow taper off, and then slowly opening her eyes again.]

[Jack pats the side of his bed, trying to squoosh over to make room. She can sit if she's tired.]

I do what I can. [She shakes her head a little when he starts to move his position. But she is obviously tired.]

Raine? Be careful out there, eh? Wouldn't want to hurt poor Fabio's feelings by not coming home alive or in one piece.
