I can jump, but it isn't the same as true flight... so I enjoyed every moment of it.

[And misses it, of course, even if he knows he belongs as a human.]

I can fly people around, y'know. If they have a backpack on. [She says this casually, in a way that suggests she isn't quite offering but wouldn't necessarily turn it down, either.]

[Kain returns that with a look that's just as unassuming, not that he wants to act too excited, but he'd love it of course.]

Yep! Easily! [Hey, if she could lift Eggman...]

You gotta wear a backpack first so I can get in, though. But once that's done it's no problem, when there are Flight Pads. I made sure the Malnosso-guys would give me some!

You'd want me to tote you around, huh? Well, I could do it. Especially 'cause it's the draft-thing and we all gotta help each other out. Especially heroes.

[She flexes one green, leathery wing to jab at the supply stations nearby.] If there's a backpack there, I could do this...

... Anything in this for me, though? [And she smirks slightly. Oh, Kazooie...]

[Hmmph, there's always some catch isn't there...]

I don't know. What would you be interested in?

[Yeeep.]

Weeeeeeell. [Thoughtfully, she brings one green leathered wing up to ponder this.] ... I don't really need anything right now, but you'd kinda owe me one.

Plus we'd gotta find you a decent backpack first. But I'd be willing. Y'know, it's for a good cause and all...

[It never takes much to talk Kain into something, catch or no catch. This is at least a better thing than side-switching.]

I'll see what I can find.

Then let's get to it! [Kazooie turns and heads off towards the supply areas, her tail whisking behind her as she runs. It shouldn't be too hard to keep up with that little green bullet...] I'm sure we'll find a backpack somewhere in all this junk.

[Good thing he's able to jump, and for distance just as much as height. That lets him clear the distance as he follows along after Kazooie. He recalls there being plenty to look through, in those supply areas...]

[... Kazooie is actually kind of impressed by that jumping, much as she's seen similar stuff from herself. But right now, she's locked on her target, and so the little green dragon does eventually stop at one of the supply areas.

It's a little run-down looking - everybody there is worn from days of fighting and chaos - but there are a few backpacks, including a familiar blue one.]

Awesome! There's one here already!

[Well, good, that was easily enough acquired. Kain picks up the backpack and then looks at her curiously. He doesn't know how this is supposed to exactly work, after all.]

[And Kazooie actually climbs inside the backpack, fitting into what must be a ridiculously small space with no visible discomfort at all. A moment later, she pops out of the bag, seemingly settled into it.]

Right. Now just put it on and I'll take care of the rest!

[This is so weird, but Kain is at least always up for trying out new potential battle techniques. So he puts the backpack on, awaiting Kazooie's next move.]

[And the little dragon does something potentially unexpected - she Talon Trots, flipping Kain onto his back as she scuttles around. She seems to have no problem carrying him - doesn't even flinch - though he is definitely heavier than Banjo with his armour.

Hoisting him, she begins to head in the direction of the one Flight Pad the Malnosso could afford to place in this region.]

I haven't had a good Flight since we were still back on those boats!

[Kain of course had no idea it would be like this. Consider him impressed. While he can't reply just yet, he'll be sure to say as much later. He'd have never thought that the dragon- er, bird- had it in her to do something quite like this. He's glancing all around as they move along and savoring the feeling of wind rushing by, as always when in the air. He just... belongs up here.]

[Free flight is easy for Kazooie, even with the heavier Kain - he's not struggling or flailing around like Eggman was, which helps. Her wingbeats are smooth, or as smooth as possible for a cartoon dragon, and her flight is almost lazy in its gentle sweeping trajectory.

She's still keeping an eye out for Third Party warriors, but luckily they seem to be leaving the two alone.]

My wings needed a good stretch! Being cooped up in that ship was boring.

[Kain nods agreement to that- he really prefers air travel to water travel, and enclosed spaces and him don't get along either. Up here... he feels so liberated, much calmer than he ever does on the ground.]

[As does Kazooie. Free flight is something she gets precious little of in Luceti - there aren't any Flight Pads after all - and so the draft has allowed her to get some serious air time in.

Between that and the general infinite-reserves-of-strength a cartoon seems to have, she's been able to almost tirelessly fly.]

[... If you like death and destruction anyway. Though Kazooie's talking more about the ocean.]

[Kain nods agreement, though of course for him, he's more focused on the view of the sky above, and around them. The ground is just a thing he's glad to leave far below. Though he does notice, with some sense of satisfaction, that their side seems to be winning this time... hopefully.]

[She'll keep circling around, bringing them both slowly around the perimeter of the war zone, to study the fighting forces herself. Looks good to her from up here.]

I guess we're winning, huh? Makes sense. We're all kicking butt!

But I might as well help...

[And the dragon suddenly spits a Grenade Egg at the fighting far below. Despite their distance from the target, it hits, blowing up in a plume of fire and sand.

... Whatever was under it probably went down, but Kazooie's already flitting away.]

[Now that IS pretty impressive. A good way to take down a bunch of enemies at once. Kain can't do much unless he wants to jump away and stab at things up closer, but he does focus upon the air. Using that Filial Wind power, he's able to direct gusts of wind to boost their flight as they continue along.]

[From where he is, Kain probably wouldn't be able to stab much. Still, Kazooie appreciates the gusting boosts, speeding her flight as she swoops along.]

I should probably land soon - Flying is great, but we miss stuff if we aren't closer to the ground. Or did you wanna go anywhere?

[Kain shakes his head, he's got nowhere in particular in mind. Much as he's all for continuing to fly all over the place, he knows that it can't last forever.]
