A time for merriment and laughter

Who: Everyone in Luceti!
What: The annual musical rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream that everyone's been waiting for with the party!
When: From 8:00 pm to later into the night.
Where: At the school gym/auditorium and the cafeteria.
Summary: The big time for the play has come, time to put it on then party!
Rating: G to PG-13 at best.

When the audience entered the school gym, there will be a large stage set up with tons of chairs for everyone to sit in. After all were seated, the play began and everything was wonderful for the most part, there were some minor slip-ups here and there. Yet overall, the play was a success. Once the party had finished and the encores were done however, Frederic came out on the stage to make a speech.

"Good evening everyone, thank you for coming out tonight on this glorious occasion. To everyone involved and to all of you our wonderful audience, it has been a pleasure seeing and being with all of you. Now if everyone will turn to the school cafeteria, we can all dine together."

The door to the school cafeteria then opened to reveal a beautiful nature setting with decorations galore all over the place. There will also be a very large table with much food on it with drinks for guests and cast/crew to eat, drink, and be merry. Tonight is a night for celebration, everyone will celebrate with happiness in their hearts.

"Sure seems like it. I never knew so much stuff went into actually making a play work...

... Doesn't it seem kinda boring to do all the setting-up, though?" Kazooie is the kind of person who expects instant results... which obviously doesn't mesh well with this.
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

"Do you think so?"

Grune is never bored, so it's a little difficult for her to understand what some people might think of as boring.

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-22 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, yeah. Setting stuff up, dragging stuff around... y'know. All that kind of lame junk.

... I guess if somebody else did it, it'd be okay." Nice selfish rhetoric there, Kazooie...
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-09-22 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh."

For a moment, Grune is confused: Wouldn't it be boring for other people, too? But then she lets the thought go. She's sure Kazooie knows what she's talking about. "All right."
talontrot: (aren't i the cutest asshole ever?)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-23 10:13 am (UTC)(link)
... Sadly, Grune's right, but of course, she can't bring herself to think poorly of other people...

"What did you do to help, Gruney?" Kazooie, though she actually doesn't say it aloud, can't help but think that Grune's abilities to help with something like a play aren't exactly... substantial.
lostinmyway: (It's always a sunny day.)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-09-24 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I painted all the flowers," Grune says proudly.

Kazooie may have noticed the excessively floral nature of the backdrops in some places, and the sparse decorations in others (when Grune forgot what she had been doing).
talontrot: (i remember better days on the n64)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-25 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
"Figures," Kazooie says almost to herself, though not without a faint, foreign touch of gently-exasperated amusement. Grune is one of those people she can't bring herself to mock too hard.

"Yeah... that's a good job for you, Gruney. And you made it all... flowery, I guess."

Pretty, even, though Kazooie won't say that. It's just too sappy.
lostinmyway: (Oh my isn't this lovely?)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-09-25 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
Even if Kazooie isn't directly complimenting her, Grune takes it as such anyway.

"Thank you, Kazooie! Maybe next time, we can paint pictures together."
talontrot: (are you crazy?! wait. yes. it's you.)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-25 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
"I dunno, Gruney... I mean, maybe, but I'd probably get my feathers all dirty..."

... She doesn't think she'd be good at it. And Kazooie's not allowed to not be good at anything. What kind of hero fails at something?
lostinmyway: (It's always a sunny day.)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-09-25 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's okay," Grune tells her, unaware of Kazooie's insecurities. "You can just clean up afterward."
talontrot: (i remember better days on the n64)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-26 10:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Well... yeah, I guess." Showing insecurities? Naaaah. Better to bottle them up and pretend you don't have any.

"I think I'd be a pretty darn good actor though!"
lostinmyway: (It's always a sunny day.)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-09-26 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, yes, I'm sure you'd be very good," Grune agrees. She's always been very good for the egos of her friends.
talontrot: (aren't i the cutest asshole ever?)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-27 11:13 am (UTC)(link)
"What about you, Gruney? Would you ever wanna act?" This is assuming Grune would remember the script. And the fact she was in the play. ... Or the fact there was even a play at all.

"You could play like - the damsel in distress type or somethin'!"
lostinmyway: (It's always a sunny day.)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-09-27 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hmm.... Maybe I could." Never mind she can blow most things out of the water once it's gotten through her hand that she needs to. "That sounds like it would be fun."
talontrot: (i still have a fanbase!)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-29 10:33 am (UTC)(link)
"I bet it would! And I could be the hero guy who rescues everyone and saves the day!

... Of course, there'd have to be somebody to get his or her butt kicked."

And obviously Kazooie would never volunteer for that position.

"But that's the most fun part - kicking butt!"
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-09-29 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Is it?" She always thought the most fun part was spending time with your friends.
talontrot: (i still have a fanbase!)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-01 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"It is for me!" Sorry, Grune. Though... honestly, the two are one and the same for Kazooie. Look at her - she's always adventuring with her best friend.

"Have you ever gone on an adventure like that?"
lostinmyway: (Hmm I wonder....)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-10-01 01:34 pm (UTC)(link)
As always, while Grune knows the answer, expecting her to retrieve a specific piece of information from her brain is a bit much. "Hmm.... I wonder."
talontrot: (the npcs i have to put up with...)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-03 12:48 pm (UTC)(link)
D'oh. Kazooie should've known better than to ask. She'll get it eventually...

"... Yeah, I dunno. Maybe you did, maybe you didn't. But I could take you on one here! It's always cool to go on a great adventure."

... It's a sign of friendship, Grune. One that Kazooie might not put into words, but that exists just the same.
lostinmyway: (So much fun!)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-10-03 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes, and it's a lot of fun, too," she agrees. "I'd love to go on an adventure wtih you, Kazooie!"

She actually understands what Kazooie means here. If there's one thing Grune actually does understand, it's friendship.
talontrot: (i still have a fanbase!)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-05 11:57 am (UTC)(link)
"It'd be the best adventure you'd ever go on!" Kazooie states proudly. Part of her would make sure of it, because... Grune's the kind of person who makes you want to do your best.

"You'd be more helpful than Banjo, anyway. 'Cause you can use your cool magic!"
lostinmyway: (Oh my isn't this lovely?)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-10-05 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh, my, that sounds like it would be exciting!" She can't wait! But…. "I'm sure your friend does their best to help, too."
talontrot: (i remember better days on the n64)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-05 02:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"He was the guy who did all the lame stuff," Kazooie says... but despite that her voice softens. "He carried sick people around and went across toxic waste in the backpack to grab items and... yeah. The grunt work, really.

... I dunno if the Malnosso-guys will ever drag him here."

Her tone might barely betray she hopes for a "yes" in that regard.
lostinmyway: (Tender.)

[personal profile] lostinmyway 2011-10-05 02:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Grune smiles at Kazooie. "He sounds like a very nice person."

It's good that Kazooie has such a kind friend.
talontrot: (i still have a fanbase!)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-08 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
She almost smiles at that. "I guess, if you like that kinda sappy thing. He always wanted to help the people we met."

... He was a good influence. Just like Grune is, admittedly.

"I did it 'cause it was my job as a hero..."
