Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

[The big sparkling man was hard to miss. His posing was even more so.

It was a flame that inescapably drew the moth that was Lupin III. He plowed over, giant grin on his face.]

And Greetings to You, Good Sir!

[He would have doffed his hat if he wore one. Instead, he gave a cordial, if very theatrical, bow.]

[Armstrong gave the red-jacketed man a smile.]

Thank you! My name is Alex Louis Armstrong, at your service.

[Armstrong returns the bow, but his is more military than theatrical.]

And mine is Arsene Lupin III. It's easy to remember--we have the same initials!

[He offers a hand in greeting to the big man.]

It's a pleasure making your acquaintance!

[Or similar enough initials. Besides, Armstrong never forgets a face or name.

Armstrong takes Lupin's hand in a FIRM grip. He's being very careful not to crush hands today. But you can just feel that if he wanted to, he totally could hurt your hand.]

((ooc: aww, shucks. XD I'm humbled--I hope I do a good job for you! I, for one, am TOTALLY HAPPY to find an Armstrong. FMA was the first series I watched from start to finish on its televised run!))

[That...was very impressive strength. It was of the sort that Lupin didn't want to have on the opposite side of a fist fight. Fortunately, Alexander Louis Armstrong seemed like such a friendly guy that it was doubtful.]

Yes, yes I am. I think I'm settling down okay though. It's wierd, this place. How are you settling in?

At first, she's a little puzzled when the nice puppy pulls back. But then she spots Ginia's hands on his collar, and she straightens up to smile at the girl.

"Hello, Ginia! You have a very nice dog. He's so sweet."

[...here, Yotsbua, why don't you let Giles help you with that truly frightening amount of ice cream.]

...do you, um, d-do you need somewhere to put that?

Excuse Giles, he'll just...take over apportioning out the apple crumble until Grune remembers it. Once he does, however, he'll pass the spoon back without comment. Well, not entirely without comment.

"I hear you made some new friends."

[...even so, Giles pokes cautiously at his food until the sparkles fade. Hi, Armstrong, remember him? Probably not. He's only a foot shorter than you now.]

[There is food here. And therefore, so is Link.]

[Eyes lighting up at the sight of that buffet, he promptly abandons his companions and makes a beeline for it, dropping off the box full of cookies (only slightly charred and a little overly sugary!), fully intent on trying a little bit of everything.]

Wow, this looks so good!

[Also? Distracting, and distractions are good right now.]

_{[If there's anything that makes Pilouette nervous about stuff like this, it's meeting so many new people all at once. While she's pretty outgoing, she's still adjusting to Luceti and such huge changes tend to throw her off. However, if she's going to be stuck in this place, it would do well for her to meet people, right?

Being careful not to get too much food, (or too little and not to eat too fast, oh but don't eat too slow either and stand up straight but try to relax and also this and that or...!) and having donned a facial security blanket pair of false glasses, she's doing her best to socialize and make a good first...well, second impression. The one she made on the day she arrived hadn't been all that great and this could be a good chance to make some friends. ]}

That's all right. I'm just glad you're feeling better now.

[She looks about for a moment.] This is a nice holiday. Do you have Thanksgiving where you're from, Selphie?

[Yotsuba will stare for a moment... This guy doesn't look as though he's out to steal her ice cream. So maybe she can hand some off to him.]

That would be nice! It's very cold and heavy. So cold I can't feel my fingers! [Said with her smile on her face.]

[No theft of ice cream here. Giles just...takes a couple of the cartons and motions as best as he can for Yotsuba to follow.] I, um, I think we can keep them over here until the party starts. F-Follow me.

[Distractions are a welcome sight to see around Link right now. In fact, Giles is just going to subtly add to the distractions by nudging a tray of brownies within arm's reach of Link.]

[This person looks all lonely. It's a party, they should have fun! Yotsuba knows just what to do.

Carrying a few tubs of ice cream, which she brought with her, Yotsuba will run towards Kyon and into his leg. That's probably going to feel pretty cold. Come on lonely person, have some ice cream and stop being so lonely!]

Settling in all right?

[It's...fairly obvious that Pilouette is quite new, and so Giles offers this up from his place against the wall as he sees the girl passing by.]

[Rin shows up a little late and despite being a guest, a party going... well he clearly missed some sort of memo because he brought a dish a pass. Actually a very big one, because he walks in carrying a large hot pot in both arms and a big of ingredients under his arm. He figures what better to bring to a party than Sukiyaki!

...Mind you he'd need to make it and manage the pot but when he walks in. Huh. Wow there was more people than he was expecting and he doesn't know where to set up shop. when eh figures it out though, he'll be manning it]

[What on earth... Is he? He's all sparkly and- and he's posing. What is going on.

Five year old is staring, trying to work out how to proceed. So many sparkles...

[And follow she shall! It's much easier to do things when you don't have to worry about dropping so much ice cream.]

[...one day Giles would like to know just what it is about him that attracts all the odd children.

Even so, he leads Yotsuba to the rec room refrigerator. It...takes some rearranging of beverages and drinks, but in the end they can probably manage to load the cartons inside. With effort.]

[Oh please, Fuuko is much odder. Maybe...

With effort?! Sounds like fun. Which means Yotsuba will be shoving an ice cream carton right in there without any consideration for anything else in there. Yeah, she might just have knocked over a whole lot of drinks. But it's ice cream, totally worth it.]

_{[She was a bit lost in her thoughts of "omigod be cool," so she's a little startled when he speaks to her. After a second or two, she tries to put on a smile to mask her nervousness.]}

Um, yeah! I mean, I'm still kind of getting used to everything but, um, I think I'm starting to get used to it all.

It isn't until Giles speaks that Grune registers exactly who has been helping her out. Once she does, however, her face just lights up, and she throws her arms around him.

"Giles! Welcome home!"
