Oh, that sounds exciting! Back on Naraka, we don't... do a whole lot when the new year rings in. Usually there's exams and such around that time, so there's not a lot of time for playing. [The Regnum Imperial Academy is Tough Shit, Pao-lin--] I'm excited that I get to relax a little this year. Um... Do you have any resolutions?

Ah -- I don't really do resolutions, not for the new year. If I want to do something, then I'll try my best to start doing it as soon as I can, you know? No reason to wait until the new year.

[The year's been good to Luca - although the feeling of time is weird for him, considering Naraka's not exactly on the same time table as Luceti is - and he's been relatively happy the last two times he can recall being around -- and being around for longer than a month this time and meeting new people has been pretty exciting, too. He'll be in the square tonight (might have a drink in his hands, but only one and it's something pretty weak), staying away from any party-goers that might be around. He's decided to, for once, try and strike out on his own instead of following Iria or Spada around...

...it's a shame he generally sucks at social events. Mind chumming it up a little? He'll be around all night, bundled up in two layers of (black) coats and a pair of gloves - and, if you're lucky, you'll catch him standing on the fountain's edge to smile up at the fireworks when they start up.]

Oh, did you find the Christmas gifts I left outside your door?

[because someone didn't tag Pao-lin's Christmas post There would've been three bags of baked treats outside of the Innocence apartment on Christmas Day. The two smaller ones were each addressed to Spada and Iria. Luca's would've been a little bit bigger, containing cookies, brownies, and little gingerbread versions of him inside. The attached card had a sketch of a smiling Luca, with the message: Thanks for all the good times we've had so far, and here's hoping we have lots more! Merry Christmas!]

Same here. We used to have all kinds of new year's parties in Dahngrest--I would be going from one to the next all night. [Well, before he adopted his daughters, anyway. He can keep partying until odd hours of the morning, but they tend to conk out around one or two.] Ja, it's nice to have a holiday the Malnosso are choosing not to tamper with.

Here, walk with me. [And he turns to head back towards Good Spirits to fetch another drink.]

[SCREAM i'm sorry i was busy with other shit ;A; and LJ was hatin' on us then-- Luca nods. The sweets had been really good (even though his roommates had teased him -- then still a girl, though -- about the slightly larger bag. He ended up giving a few to Hermana, too, since she hadn't gotten any-- since Pao-lin didn't know her, of course.

It's after Ginia finishes one of her performances that Grune stops by to say hello. While her attention had wandered just a bit during the performance, she'd been able to focus for the ending and had been very enthusiastic about showing her appreciation.
