Summary: IT'S A SUMMER PARTY
Rating: Worksafe, I reckon!
It's cold out there today, isn't it? Sure, it's not snowing but once you get into the Battle Dome, it'll be comfortably warmer. Warmer, not warm. Follow the tiny paper arrows and you'll probably find yourself in, well...summer!

It certainly looks convincing enough (a pool, a volleyball court, deck chairs, everything that you'd think you'd find at a pool party) and feels convincing enough (take off that coat! Aren't you hot?) so why not not step in? The barbecue's sizzling and there's some nice cold drinks at the cooler.

C'mon in, the water's awesome!

[And suddenly, Grune is soaked! She blinks a few times.]

Oh, my.

[Whoops. Link swims up to the edge, grinning in a slightly embarrassed way.] Sorry, Grune. I didn't see you.

[Grune smiles and replies immediately:] Oh, that's all right.

[And her smile grows.] That looked like fun!

It is! It's really fun trying to make the biggest splash you can. [Yeah, that may be a hint of a dare. Feel like scandalising people?]

[She giggles.]

If we jump in together, we could make a really big one!

Oh - that's a good idea! [Out he scrambles! Dripping wet, he moves to Grune's side.] When I say 'go', okay?

Okay!

[This is totally going to work.]

[With a grin, Link drops into a ready stance beside Grune.] Ready? Three - two - one - go!

[And off he sprints!]

[Oh hey is that one of her friends over there?]

[BOMBS AWAY!]

[...Oh.]

[Link pops his head out of the water, shaking his bangs out of his face like a wet puppy.] Gru-une!

[He is laughing a little, though.]

[She blinks and give Link a curious look. Why is he down there?]

Yes?

[He pauses, then shakes his head, laughing.] It's nothing. Want to come for a swim?

Oh, that's a good idea! [As if Link hadn't already suggested it.

She doesn't remember to make a big splash, either--she simply slips into the pool. Luckily, even though her memory is shot, at least her body remembers how to swim.]

[Oh well. Link is unaware that big splashes tend to dislodge things like bikinis, and we don't need the whole dome passing out...]

[Swimming over, he gives her a smile.] The water's nice, huh?

Yes, it's nice and warm. It's even warmer than the ocean!

[She means during the summer, but either way, it's certainly true.]

Uh huh! I'm going to have to learn how to do this for the next time it's cold outside but I want to swim. [He's splashing around pretty cheerfully - it's nice in the water when it's warm out.]

[Grune, meanwhile, appears to be treading water entirely without thinking about it.]

That's a very good idea! Then you can invite all your friends and we can have another party!

[In fairness, it's probably best not to think too hard about treading water.]

Okay - and that way we don't have to worry about the weather being bad or anything!

Yes, because we can make it be a sunny day! [She giggles.]

We can make it any weather we want! [...But preferably not snow.]

[Well...!]

Do you think we could make it sunny and snowing and warm all at the same time?

[This gets a rather dubious look.] I think the snow would melt. Unless it wasn't real snow.

We could make it pretend snow, so it would be warm enough to go swimming, but the snow would still look very nice sparkling in the sun.

[Pretend snow, huh? He considers it for a moment.]

...I guess that might be okay.

[How she manages to give him her usual puzzled look while treading water is something of a mystery, but she pulls it off anyway.]

Don't you think it would be pretty?
