Luceti Town Meeting Cycle Year 5

Who: Everyone!
What: Town meeting
When: February 6th at 6 PM
Where: The school cafeteria
Summary: The village gets together for a town meeting. Let there be ideas, plans, and future festivities.
Rating:
With the help of some friends and friends of friends, the school cafeteria has been transformed into a meeting space. Rows of chairs and a few benches fill the space, providing adequate seating for whoever wishes to come to the meeting.

Along the back are some tables set with cookies, pastries, and tea, juice, and coffee for people to munch and sip on, before, during, and after the meeting

By the entrance is another table. On it sits a locked box with a slit on top, small sheets of blank paper, and a few pencils and pens. This is the message box, for anyone who wishes to express an idea or thought in an anonymous manner. The box will later be opened and all the messages inside will be read out loud by Ginia.

At the front sits a platform - one of the ones built for A Midsummer Night's Dream - with a table and chair resting on top. It's where Ginia will sit during the meeting, the extra height for the purpose of being able to see anyone who may be seated in the back row.

[Someone may be occasionally glancing at you from their place against a nearby wall, Haruhi. He's not being too sneaky about it, either, since he's also trying to figure out whether this was supposed to be some sort of fancy affair or not, seeing how Haruhi's dressed. Because ... yeah, he's dressed more or less in what could be considered "business casual", closer to the "casual" side.

... She seems kind of nervous, too. That's ... weird. Did he walk into the wrong place, or what?]

[O-okay, straight... no, don't touch the hair, it's perfect]

[... Really now, what was with her? It's not like she's a friend of his or something, but seeing someone as outspoken as her all nervous-looking is just ... weird. He doesn't see why anyone should be nervous during a town meeting, but ... well, that's him.

He'll watch her fidget for a few more moments before deciding that it's annoying enough to question. So, he'll walk over to where she is.]

What're you so jittery for?

[No "hey" or "excuse me" or anything remotely attention grabber first. Nope, just gonna wander over and belt out the problem the second he's within normal-speaking-volume range.]

[Turn, explode-] Who's jittery?!

Hey, easy! I was just asking a question!

[this is what he gets for talking to people he rarely talks to isn't it]

Yeah, you're right. I've gotta be hallucinating, 'cause "jittery" is too much of an understatement for the way you're acting right now.

[Oh huff and puff all you want, Haruhi - at least he knows he won't get hit with Ground Dasher or something for approaching you about something like this.

Regardless, at this point, it's clear to him that she's really jumpy for some reason, and if he's already pointing it out, he might as well finish what he started. Backing off after that would just leave him feeling annoyed.]

... Seriously though, seeing someone like you acting this way over something like this is getting me jittery. And something like a town meeting doesn't strike me as the sort of thing worth worrying over. [ ... ] So ... relax a little, all right?

I don't need you to tell me that- [But... she sighs after that. He's right, too. This is just some stupid thing and she's just conflating it with everything else going on and trying to look older. She goes to tug at her ribbons - finds nothing there because of her headband - blushes, and then just... shakes her head] -Thanks.

[trueknight]

[After hearing that, he considers this conversation done. So, he turns away with a slight backhanded wave, says--]

Don't mention it.

[--and starts to walk back to his spot against the wall.]
