Luceti Town Meeting Cycle Year 5

Who: Everyone!
What: Town meeting
When: February 6th at 6 PM
Where: The school cafeteria
Summary: The village gets together for a town meeting. Let there be ideas, plans, and future festivities.
Rating:
With the help of some friends and friends of friends, the school cafeteria has been transformed into a meeting space. Rows of chairs and a few benches fill the space, providing adequate seating for whoever wishes to come to the meeting.

Along the back are some tables set with cookies, pastries, and tea, juice, and coffee for people to munch and sip on, before, during, and after the meeting

By the entrance is another table. On it sits a locked box with a slit on top, small sheets of blank paper, and a few pencils and pens. This is the message box, for anyone who wishes to express an idea or thought in an anonymous manner. The box will later be opened and all the messages inside will be read out loud by Ginia.

At the front sits a platform - one of the ones built for A Midsummer Night's Dream - with a table and chair resting on top. It's where Ginia will sit during the meeting, the extra height for the purpose of being able to see anyone who may be seated in the back row.

Don't worry. [Grune gives her a smile meant to reassure.] I know you'll do a wonderful job.

Do you really know? [In which Fuuko believes for a whole second that Grune might be some sort of mind reader who knows these sorts of things...] Fuuko hopes everyone will be interested in hearing about the starfish festival, it's a really big deal. [To her anyway.]

Oh, I'm sure they will be. After all, it'll be a lot of fun!

[Too bad Grune can't loan out that confidence.]

That's right, it'll be a whole lot of fun for everyone! There will be food and games and everyone will be able to join in together!

[If only she could sound this confident speaking in front of everyone.] Fuuko wants to speak like that to the entire room!

Well, all you have to do is say it again, just like that. [She really doesn't see the problem here.]

But saying it to Grune-san and then trying to say it again in front of so many people is very different. Fuuko is used to talking to you, but not lots of people at once! [It's a scary public speaking problem. People. Judging you. Or something.]

Hmm.... [She thinks about that for a bit.] You could pretend you're just talking to me. That way, you won't feel so shy.

[She smiles.] Don't worry. I'll cheer you on!

Fuuko could do that... Seeing as Fuuko never feels shy around you it sounds like a good idea.

[And if Grune is offering to cheer her on there's really no reason why this plan wouldn't work.] Thank you Grune-san, that's very kind of you.

You're welcome! [She gives her a big smile.] I'm happy to help!

[And Fuuko manages a proper smile back, at last!] Are you here to talk about anything Grune-san, like Fuuko is?

Hmm.... I don't know. Do you think so?

[Nope. She's just here to support Ginia and have fun.]

[Does she think so? Oh Grune.]

Fuuko doesn't know. Is there anything you really want the village to know about? If there is you should tell them now whilst you have the chance Grune-san!

Hmm.... I could tell them I love them all very much.

[starfishlovesyou]

[Well that would work!]

Fuuko bets the village would be very happy to know you love them. Some people need to be told that every now and then to go on you know. [Like the starfish--]

Then I'll make sure to tell everyone!

Make sure you do a good job and include everyone in your message of love so everyone feels equally loved! [...] It's strange but speaking like this Fuuko feels complete relaxed and not nervous in the slightest.

Oh, I'm very happy I could help you, then! I know you'll do a wonderful job.

[She beams at her with complete confidence.]

That's right, Fuuko will do a truly wonderful job and all the starfish will be proud to know that Fuuko has done them justice!

[Standing up and pumping her fist into the air! Victory pose!]

[Grune copies her. Whee!]

You're going to make them all so happy!

Fuuko will! And then after the speech everyone will look forward to the Starfish Festival, so much so everyone will attend and the starfish might become overwhelmed by all the attention they'll receive, right?

[Turning to Grune with hopeful eyes, fist still in the air... Given there's an entire room of people here they probably look a little silly now.]

[If they do, Grune certainly isn't going to notice.]

Yes, that's exactly right! But that won't be a bad thing at all.

[starfishlovesyou]

Of course not, it'll be a wonderful thing, one of the most wonderful things Fuuko will ever see!

[And you know what, forget looking silly. She's going to ride this burst of confidence out for as long as she can! In fact Fuuko is going to step up onto her chair and shout out to the room right now before anyone else takes the stage.]

You're all going to really like the Starfish Festival okay!? Fuuko will be really happy and so will the starfish and Grune-san!!

Then she calls out:] It's going to be so much fun, so everyone needs to come!

[Sitting herself back down. That felt really good?!]

Now they'll all definitely come, they can't deny they want to come to the Starfish Festival after hearing that!
