I was furious with you. [But it's such a disconnect from how he feels now, it's hard to imagine. How could anyone be angry with someone as incredible as Joshua?]

[ Joshua silently stands up. ]

[ He pulls his hand from Hisoka's grasp, and after a short pause, turns and starts to head out the door. ]

[cynicism]

[And Hisoka watches him go, even though it forces a heavy weight to settle on his heart. This hurts more than anything has any right to hurt.]

[ And Joshua for his part will swing by the store before he goes home to pick up a carton of ice cream. As much as he jokes about the ice cream binge after a heartbreak, he's never actually had the chance to experience it himself.

... Half a tub of chocolate chip ice cream later, he's come to the conclusion that said binge is in fact highly overrated. ]

[Hours after Joshua's ice cream has gone all liquid and soupy, Hisoka will be outside his door, unashamedly red in the face and wet in the eyes.

Oh, he'd tried to go on as usual, but Joshua remained on his mind in an aggressive, relatively oppressive way. It physically hurt to stay away from him. There really isn't a choice aside from knocking politely and hoping Joshua just doesn't answer and saves both of them some embarrassment.]
