Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[Grell can see Lupin watching her and she winks at him as she pulls her hands away from her hair.]

So strong legs and adept fingers then? I suspect a good amount of stamina is also needed, hm?

[Oh my, she smirks and looks down at him, amused. How would he react, she wonders, if she dropped the "I'm your teacher's girlfriend" thing on him right about now? Mm...no, she'll save that for later, when the damage is so much more amusing to watch.]

Oh and what do you want to know, Monsieur? I'm an open book.

[Tell him if you want, Grell. He's confident, and mostly playing. It wouldn't shock him anymore than finding out a turtle was dating a nerdy scientist did--he'd just need to ask more questions later.

[But start with the small talk first. The easy things. He may be a rogue, but he has a distinctly....good feel to him. Letting him in on the death god secret isn't something she's about to do, and so instead, she plays with one of his hands teasingly.]

But I suppose I can be kind as well as cruel. I'm an actress, you see, and a very good one. But only when I have the right crowd.

...I understand. I also work best with the right kind of crowd--which, unfortunately, isn't here. Hopefully a lady as lovely as you won't have that problem.

Oh, but Monsieur, surely a man of your talents can make any crowd into the right kind of crowd, hm?

I know I'm a damn lucky bastard. It works for me--as long as I leave a pretty corpse, I'll be happy. [Ominous? What's ominous?]

Unfortunately, my luck hasn't been as good here. There's a great lacking of many settings and props for me. It's too quiet. This isn't a city, you know?

If it were up to me, dear Monsieur Lupin, I'd be sure to leave you with the most beautiful death in the world.

[Sadly, it is not. She has yet to find her List and thus can't reap a single soul. Le sigh, oh well.

She steps closer.]

A smaller stage simply means timing and costume become that much more important. And finding the right leading man to take center stage, of course.

[The words halt as she draws closer with that seductive, almost predatory smile of hers. The game was getting very familiar, even if the players weren't the same.]

Leading lady, my dear. She's already here for me, and our little show is still in development hell, I'm sorry to say. Most things are worked out but the script, and nothing but time and hard work can save that.

I see you two are getting to know each other.

[He didn't exactly ninja there, but he's surprisingly quiet and hella fast for a man his size and build. And just where the hell did he come from anyway? Oh and he doesn't look too friendly. Even for the two here, he's usually a bit more cheerful (you know, for Smoker) around these Grell or Lupin... but with their current proximity to each other, and his own canine hearing, he just exudes mild suspicion.]

One day I should really meet this woman of yours Lupin. Seeing as you've met mine. [Also, that will never happen Smoker. Sorry. Oh and yes... he did call Grell his woman... um... oops?]

[Now that had been an interesting little message there, Lupin. Grell wouldn't let that go normally, but the sudden and rather abrupt appearance of her favorite (and what should be only) beau has completely derailed every normal thought in her head. She lets go of Lupin in an instant and jumps toward Smoker to put her arms around his neck.]

Oh, darling, you came! I was just chatting with your cute new student while waiting for you~

[Grumpyness gone. Smoker just bursts into a grin. Damn it Grell, always so cute.]

[He doesn't even look over at Lupin. Just takes out his cigars and taps Grell's nose affectionately with a finger.]

[Troll achieved. Grell smirks and looks back over her shoulder at Lupin.]

Oh dear, did I not mention that your 'Captain' happened to be my beau?

No one did. [yeah, he's not playing anymore.]

Cap', you and Fujiko have one thing in common here--paramours that like to flirt around. I didn't expect you to go for a girl similar to mine, all strangeness aside.

[Coolly arches an eyebrow at Lupin. Oh dude... don't insult Grell to him. It's just not smart.]

Is that so Lupin? Given your own tendency towards masochism I think you're mistaken. [Yeah.... he just called you a bottom Lupin.... moving on...]

And just what kind of girl do you think I'd normally go after? [Oh. He's... so eager to hear this. Don't do it! It's a trap!]

[That eyebrow is not going down. Lupin, he had stopped being suspicious, and all that is just making the detective instincts back to firing off warning bells left and right.]

[Unspoken: and the just playing better be true or Lupin might find out how violent Smoker can be when his kid gloves come off. He gets distracted by Grell again though and grins.] Obviously what he meant. [Quiet rumbling tone and slips an arm around her waist.]
