Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[His eyes light up again as he begins to describe the surface world and how different it is.]

It's like... there's way more space than up in the sky, and the birds are really small.

[Again, he accentuates his descriptions with hand gestures.]

And there's this lady-- er... Well, there was this old lady who lived in this temple, and she was pretty cool I guess.

[Gasp, small birds--! No, wait, that's completely normal. At least, Rapunzel thinks so. But she doesn't know much about what's normal.]

A temple...that's sort of like a castle, isn't it? I've been to one of those! Or--near it. I didn't actually get to go inside.

Uh... Yeah, kinda, I guess?

I mean, I think castles are supposed to be much bigger. I never seen one myself, just read 'bout them. This temple was pretty small.

[He wasn't even sure if castles were supposed to be real. He thought they were just in fairy tales, but he says nothing about that.]

[Rapunzel nods. Having seen one castle in her life, she is of course an expert.]

Castles are big. With huge walls and high towers and bustling cities around them! I finally got to go see the city--and it was amazing.

Yeah? So what was that like? The city, I mean?

[Groose wouldn't normally be quite so interested, but if all that time of failing with pursuing Zelda has taught him anything, it's that he has to be nice and at least pretend to be interested. But he is genuinely interested, seeing as he doesn't know about castles or cities or anything.]

[Ooh! This is her chance to be all impressive with her worldly knowledge. Such opportunities do not come by often.]

Well! It's about the most amazing place you can possibly imagine! It's sort of like this village here, but with more walls and full of people going every which way! There's a great lake of water surrounding it, and in the center, there's the magnificent castle. There's so many places to go and things to see--it's impossible to do it all in one day.

[But they sure did try.]

[He can't help but chuckle slightly at Rapunzel's enthusiasm.]

Yeah? That sounds really fun.

[Although he's not sure, but there's probably some interesting things to do there.]

Maybe you could take me there sometime.

[He winks.]

[Huh? What was that? It looked kind of fun. Rapunzel tries to imitate the wink, closing one eye, and then the other--yeah, she's not very good at this.]

I could ask the Mal-noses! I'd love to go back, if they'll let me visit. I still need to see the floating lanterns.

[Groose snickers very lightly as he watches Rapunzel attempt to wink. God she was adorable, wasn't she?]

Yeah? You could try asking them. I heard that if you do stuff for them they might grant you a favor.

[She will totally master this winking thing. Just you wait!]

Oh, really? I wonder what sort I thing I could do for them...I'm really good at...cleaning! And I bake a mean pie. I mean--not actually mean. It's just a saying!

[Groose remembers what Rydia and the older Link had said about the Malnosso and their services, knowing that baking a pie or cleaning probably wouldn't do much. However, he can't help but admire her enthusiasm.]

Haha! I've never seen these Mally-things, but hey, they might need a cleaner or something for one of their missions.

Though I'm not too sure - someone said that usually the missions were like... battle strategy things. I'm not sure.

[Battle strategy!

...Yeah, the closest thing Rapunzel's got to that is chess moves.]

Oh...maybe I can ask my friend Arthur about that! He's very serious, but also very nice. And he's a warrior.

[Groose nods. He doesn't know this Arthur guy, but he'll trust Rapunzel's judgment for now.]

Yeah, ask him. Maybe he's been on their missions. I don't know much 'bout them since I'm new and all.

[He's a ~~prat~~ decent guy!]

I haven't either...but I probably wouldn't be very good at them. I've never learned to fight before.

Oh? Hey, I'm sure you wouldn't be too bad at it! You just gotta have someone teach you is all.

Well...I did hold my own against a thief with a frying pan!

[Never mind the fact that he later fought a horse with it.]

[Groose laughed at this.]

Really?! Ha ha, I'm sure the creep totally deserved it!

[After all, all he knew was that this guy was a thief; he assumed that Rapunzel fought him off.]

[Wellllll...there is a whole story to go along with that.]

Well, he did come into my tower without asking. But he ended up being a very good person!

[And someone she actually misses a lot.]

Oh yeah? But you said he was a thief! That's like...

[Briefly he stops and considers his own wrongdoings in the past, which probably would have earned Rapunzel's frying pan.]

I mean, well, uh, never mind. Heh.

He was just a little...misguided, that's all! I think there's good in everyone. Even criminals!

[They all have dreams, just like her!]

[Groose stops and thinks about what Rapunzel says, but he can't fully agree with her after the villainy he witnessed in his own world.]

Huh. I guess. Maybe your frying pan knocked that sense into him?

[He winked at that.]

[He did the eye-trick again! Man, she has got to learn that.]

That could be! I'm a pretty mean swing. We defeated an entire group of palace guards with one.

[Groose is... really surprised. It's easy to see the surprise on his face when Rapunzel says that. He almost doesn't believe her, but... Well, who knows.]

Whoa! You serious? If you really did that, then I'm sure you're a great fighter!

Well...I might have just been lucky, too. I have the frying pan to thank.

[And she doesn't want to sound like she's bragging.]

That frying pan must be made out of some serious material then! [He laughs.]

I'm sure you would have no trouble honing your skills if you were able to take down a buncha guards like that!
