Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[She nods.]

It's nice to see you, too. How are you enjoying the party?

"It's been interesting."

I cracked a slight grin.

"Not to be an ass or anything, but there are some ugly bastards livin' around here. I saw one guy, looked like a Cenobite in a vaguely goth S&M getup."

[She blinks a little at Harry's description, not quite comprehending it. Then she just laughs a little.]

Well...yeah, there are a lot of interesting people here. It's part of what I like about Luceti.

"Oh, yeah. I agree, it's intersting stuff. And I met Luke Skywalker."

I grinned at her.

"I'm never gonna get over that, seriously."

Luke Skywalker...?

[~~and here is where the vague AU nature of Sternbild comes to kick the mun in the ass, sigh~~]

"...Oh. Uh. Where I come from, he's kind of an iconic, legendary figure."

Oh, I see. [Headtilt.] Where are you from, then?

"Chicago. Illinois. United States of America. Earth."

I frowned.

"The... Milky Way? I never know how specific I have to be, around here."

Huh, so you're from Earth, too. [She definitely recognizes the country and the state. Chicago...is up in the air, considering the AUish nature of T&Bverse.] Do you know a city named Sternbild?

"... Nnnnno. Should I?"

[She frowns as she finishes chewing on some cookies.]

That's so weird...I know there's people from lots of different Earths here, but so far mine's the only one that's got Sternbild.

"You'll get a lot of that, it seems like. I'm gonna guess mine's the only one that's got a White Council."

Yeah, I haven't heard of anything like that before. [Munch munch.] It's kind of funny how there's lots of different versions of Earth, but there only ever seems to be one version of other worlds here. [As far as she knows, anyway. Even if there are exceptions, it seems to be holding true for her experiences so far.]

"Maybe there are others, and they just don't show up here as much. Also mostly humans and... humanoids, I guess?"

It was bizarre, actually.

Yeah, I guess so. They might be in the other enclosures outside of Luceti... [She still wonders about the people who live there, and what they're going through. It was hard not to empathize with them, not that she was trying not to or anything like that.]

Other enclosures? Well. Shit.

"Maybe they just made this one Earth-like, so they went with Earth and worlds based on it for the residents? Could be another enclosure with a totally alien population and an atmosphere that'd kill us."

[She shakes her head.]

The other enclosures are on the same world as ours. They don't have experiments like we do, but most of them don't have electricity and the Third Party attacks them way more often. At least, that's what I've been hearing.

This place was rapidly losing its appeal.

"Heard from who? Have you been there?"

No one's been to the other villages, I don't think. But the Malnosso sometimes call people on missions, and that's where we meet the people from the other enclosures. Sometimes we get to talk to them, sometimes we don't.

"... The hell kind of operation are these people even running?"

[She grumbles and crosses her arms.]

I wish they'd tell us. Even if it's bad, at least we'd know exactly what to expect.

The trouble with situations like this is that usually my solution to them involved applying a lot of concussive force and thermal energy to the offending party until the situation went away.

And 'Kill it with fire' wasn't an option here.

"Yeah, guess it doesn't matter, anyway, there's not a whole lot we can do about it. Just... gotta make do and try not to let yourself get hurt too badly, right?"

[Another nod from her part.]

Mm-hmm. At least there's a lot of people here who know how to heal, either with magic or just the usual way. And you can talk to the healing spirit here and learn that kind of magic from her, too.

"I don't trust those damn spirits. Too much like the Fae for my taste."

The Fae...? Like fairies?
