A Day In Another World

Who: Anyone in the event
What: For 21 hours, pairs of characters will get to visit one of their worlds
When: Sunday morning, from 1AM to 10PM (in Luceti time)
Where: Somewhere else!
Summary: It's described here. One person will play the host, another the visitor.
Rating: Keep it clean, kids! Move your icky business to appointments posts.

Quick run of things to keep in mind:

-The pair of characters will return to the host's canon point. The host will temporarily return to their physical state at whatever their canon point was.
-Anything they do will be undone after they return to Luceti.
-If they are going to be part of the Alternate Universe aspect of the event, they won't remember the visit until after they have returned to normal.

Disclaimer: Visiting canon worlds will mean having to NPC characters that may already exist in Luceti, but will have no memory or knowledge of it. Be respectful and in character and bear in mind that these do not reflect upon characters in game!

ALSO! Threading out the visit is 100% optional. You're entirely free and encouraged to discuss and handwave what goes on if you want. But if you would like to thread it out, you may do so here.

[She tries to shrug his arm off, awkward at being found out and flustered at his proximity.]

It's fine. I know you didn't mean to.

[They're at the platform about now, now to wait. He nods]

Seems a lot of things are fine right now.

[Sidelong glance.]

What do you mean?

Oh, nothing~ [Just that she - and him, actually - have been sayign a lot is fine or okay so far today]

[Frown.]

You wouldn't say it if it meant nothing.

You don't think so? A lot of people seem to think that this boy, Masaomi Kida, says a lot of empty words.

[About girls, that is]

[And her frown... doesn't go away, though her gaze fades to concerned inquiry.]

What are you talking about?

[He lowers one arm. the other stays behind his head and he turns himself to look at her with this expression. And-]

You're extremely pretty in modern clothes. Iiiin fact, Ka~tara, I'd say I'm seeing you a whole new light!

[This point probably would have been made a lot more clearly if he hadn't blatantly ogled her earlier in the day. Her mind immediately flashes back to that, and infers that he's speaking of something perverted, and Katara flushes - not out of embarrassment, but a shade closer to betrayed humiliation, as the tail end of his comment just makes her feel exposed, and so, naturally, receives the majority of her focus.

She drops her gaze an shifts away from him, drawing the edges of her cardigan closer together.]

Masaomi...

Hmmmm? What could it be, Katara? Are you being overwhelmed by my silver tongue? Could it be, could it be! Is Ka~ta~ra~ Falling for me in my fancy duds?

[his other arm lowers. His smile becomes more pronounced and he rocks back on one heel wiggling his fingers between them.]

Oh! Oh, I've got it, I know exactly what it is!

[And as he says this, there's the sound of a signal that the train is coming in]

[Lean forward. And he puts a hand on top of her head, leaning down in to whisper once more]

These are the sort of words people doubt from a sinful man like me, right?

[Possibly as she would get time to answer, the train rolls in]

[As he began to speak again, Katara shrunk in on herself, feeling more and more made light of - cheap - and still so exposed. She doesn't look up at him, trying not to snap at him--

And then he leans in. She stiffens again as he whispers in her ear, touches her head, a mockery of tenderness as he slides the knife in, accusing her.

The train rolls in and she raises her head, watching it for a moment before she turns to face him, her gaze hot. She reaches out one arm and shoves him away from her, hard.]

Jerk.

[And without looking back towards him, or checking to see if it's the right train, she moves through the crowd of people getting off in order to board it, dodging in and out to gain distance.]

Ah, you got that right.

[He says that one mostly to himself. Maybe it's just that he's home. That his viewpoint is seeing blonde bangs and a newly short perspective. But... shit. wait. He starts to just follow her calmly on the train until he realizes-]

[fuck, train molesters. Sure, the crowd here is too thin for him to be that worried but a solo foreign girl who doesn't know to be weary? He needs to get back closer to her]

[Hey, guess what? By the time he gets in there, she's not in that car.]

[...and when he notices this, the disembarking and embarking has more or less...] Son of a bitch.

[Okay, this is... towards the back, let's move front on the carts. Next one up- she's not there. Dammit, dammit, dammit. His eyes are wide with panic now and he's getting into a cold sweat.]

Shit, shit... [and thendoors have already closed. He's stuck on the line now. She better not have gotten back off the train-] Hey, hey- excuse me- Yes, I know I'm a bother-

[...It's much harder than you'd expect when this thing starts moving. It's fast and it's been over a year since he was on a train now. When he goes to try to open the door to the next one up he slides forward, slamming his face into the wall. god- dammit.

Can you even open the door when it's in motion? He's not sure. Okay, it looks like you can. This one looks even more empty, but seeing a few office workers...]

Excuse me! Excuse me! Would any rapists please the han-- [And he isn't bracing himself, he loses his balance and lurches forward. Okay, grabbing this rail] hands?!

[...And then he got a glare or at least a look from everyone here.]

[Or, well, almost everyone. There's one girl sitting by the standing rail near the door who doesn't even look up at him, despite the racket, the sound of the rushing train through the open door, or the space of empty seats beside her. The only sign that she isn't from Tokyo is her dark skin and the way one hand is holding onto that railing with a white-knuckled grip.]

[There she is. She's okay.

(of course she was, you idiot, she's stronger than you)

The relief that floods through him is probably completely over-doing it, and he's scrambling towards her, tripping a bit as he goes-...]

[But before he can make it to her, he's actually grabbed on the shoulder. It's...

An office worker? In his later twenties by the look of it (so not completely broken, he can't help but think) But he glares when touched at him with this expression. the office worker, who was clearly planning to tell him off, recoils with some comment about how even when he was in high school, there were less degenerates.

It still holds him up more though]

[She doesn't try to run. She barely glances towards them to make sure that one's getting hurt and then returns her attention to the floor, not actually shifting one iota.]

[There's a sound now. They're nearing the first stop - it's not there stop, but it... Means the train is slowing down and he's lurching the other way. A few more trips and then with a very unceremonious fall, he lands sprawled in the seat next to her, panting a bit.

It's mostly nerves.

He's glad there is and open seat. It's amazing]

[Katara is still on ignore mode. In fact, if this isn't their stop, she looks up towards the adjoining door in the next car. Maybe she can get further away when the train stops.]

[It is not. And so when the train stops, he adjusts himself to get better in the seat. He doesn't try to speak just yet]

[She shifts forward as if to move just as the doors open, but--

He'll just follow you, Katara.

So instead she leans back and away with a sigh.

Of note: She's buttoned the cardigan all the way up over her shirt.]
