[Just when Rydia thinks she's adjusted to the weirdness of everyone in the house except her and Link remembering things wrong -not to mention losing a day- something else happens to catch her off-guard. As she enters the house, she hears someone doing dishes in the kitchen. Always eager to chat with Rosa -or Grune- she just strolls on in...and comes to an abrupt halt upon seeing neither.]

Hey, what is this--

...Rapunzel?

[Forgive her as it takes a moment to truly register such a drastic change in appearance.]

[degleamed]

Oh, hello, Rydia!

[She glances over her shoulder and grins. Nothing amiss here, just doing the dishes for a friend!]

I hope you don't mind--I thought it might be a nice surprise to come home to some of your chores being finished!

[mistlegacy]

[Rydia nods, dazed.]

That's sweet of you, but--what happened to your hair?!?

[degleamed]

[A puzzled look crosses her face and she puts down the plate she's scrubbing.]

My hair? [She runs a hand over it absently.] Did I get something in it again? Oh, dear...

[mistlegacy]

[She shakes her head at the question, still shocked.]

No, but--where's the rest of it? Did the Malnosso do this to you?

[degleamed]

They haven't done anything...Rydia, are you alright?

[You're acting pretty strange, okay.]

[mistlegacy]

[Rydia backs up and leans against the wall, sighing as she rakes a hand through her hair.]

I'm...confused. Everyone in this house except Link remembers everything wrong, his things are all missing, and there's a horse in his stable instead of a chocobo. And now you're missing about seventy feet of hair.

[degleamed]

[A small, nervous laugh.] Oh, don't be silly! You know my hair never grows. How could anyone have that much hair?

...Maybe it'd be best if you sit down for a bit?

[mistlegacy]

[You know, that seems like a good idea. Rydia does just that, plopping onto a chair by the kitchen table. She frowns, though not at Rapunzel.]

Why is everyone remembering so differently? We can't all be wrong...or right.

...speaking of remembering, do you recall Sunday?

[degleamed]

[She shakes her head, looking more and more puzzled.]

I don't! I thought it was strange...but it didn't seem worth worrying about. Do you think this is some sort of experiment?

[mistlegacy]

[She nods slowly, seeing no other explanation.]

It must be. We're a bit overdue, right? We didn't even have one in March.

...when you woke up the other day, did you do so in an unfamiliar place? Or in a familiar place but with all your things gone?

[degleamed]

[She blinks. What an odd question.]

No, not at all. I woke up in my apartment right next to His Highness's. Why? Has that been happening?

[mistlegacy]

Oh, yes. Apparently, it's been happening all over--

[She pauses and raises an eyebrow.]

...His Highness?

[degleamed]

[Rapunzel gives her a nearly incredulous look.]

Yes, High Highness. The King? [She couldn't have forgotten him, could she have?]

[mistlegacy]

Which one is that, exactly? We have plenty of royalty in this village, remember.

[Some even in this house, but given what Rapunzel said, she couldn't mean them.]

[degleamed]

Only the one I've sworn to serve as the King and protector of my homeland, of course!

[Obviously! Don't be silly.]

[mistlegacy]

[She shakes her head slowly, wishing any of this made sense.]

...I swear I'm not trying to pull one over on you, but you've never mentioned serving a king before.

[degleamed]

[Well, they haven't talked all that often. Maybe Rydia had just forgotten? Because Rapunzel is certain she mentioned it.]

But just the same, I do serve him. It's my duty.

[mistlegacy]

And your duty includes cleaning in random houses, too?

[Rydia grins, unable to help from a little gentle teasing.]

[degleamed]

[Rapunzel can't help a sheepish laugh.]

Well, nooot exactly...I guess I got a little carried away.

[mistlegacy]

[She shrugs.]

There's nothing wrong with keeping busy! It just startled me, that's all. But you deserve some time to relax a little, too. Pull up a chair and have some of that mint tea in the fridge. We still have some of the apple pie that Grune brought over, too.

[degleamed]

Relax...? [Would that be alright? She's just so used to working hard.] Are you sure?

[mistlegacy]

[Nodnod.]

I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't mean it. The world won't come to an end if you take a few minutes for yourself, promise.

[degleamed]

]Well...]

Alright. But just a few minutes! I'm sure there's more work to be done somewhere.

[mistlegacy]

[Aw, Rapunzel. So productive. Rydia doesn't mind being a shoulder devil and getting her to relax, since she has a feeling the girl wouldn't do so on her own.]
