I meant your hair. [Even though he knows it's probably part of the experiment; excuse the guy, Jixsan just finds it so weird]

Eh, I just didn't feel like putting it up today. Too much work. Actually been thinking about getting it cut lately.

[concasse]

... Alright, let's start over.

You know there's an experiment going around, right?

[goldenglasses]

There is?

Huh, well I did wake up in the wrong bedroom the other morning.

[concasse]

I woke up in the wrong house.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah, actually, that's the funny thing about the bedroom... it was also in the wrong house too!

Hey, was your real bedroom also empty of all your stuff too?

[concasse]

[It's actually a relief to hear Vash has had the same experience. Jixsan nods]

Not a damn thing in there. Kairi, Roxas, and Riku all insisted I'd never lived there, either.

[goldenglasses]

Welllllllllllll. [During that long, drawn out well, Vash wonders if he should say something about how he thought Sanji lived with the Straw Hats. Then decides against it.]

Well, I didn't have that problem. Joshua still remembered me and was clueless about where all my stuff went too.

[concasse]

... Who's Joshua?

[goldenglasses]

Joshua. You know. The guy I live with? Grew up together with?

[concasse]

[Frankly:] Is he from Gunsmoke?

[goldenglasses]

No, he's fun Japan, like me.

[concasse]

... [Breathe, Jixsan]

News to me. [He tries not to sound snippy about it. Tries] The Vash I know is from Gunsmoke, along with Wolfwood, Milly, and Amelia.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah, well, the Sanji I know is a Pirate Chef from the Grand Line.

[concasse]

Figures.

That makes us both wrong, then.

[goldenglasses]

Mhmm, I think you're more wrong.

[concasse]

You know damn well there's no way to know for sure, idiot. [he shrugs] No one can trust their memories in this place.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah, I know. You'd think memory would be something they'd leave alone, but - [Vash shrugs with a sigh.]

[concasse]

Heh, well you're taking it pretty well.

[goldenglasses]

Well, I guess it's because I feel comfortable with my memories. I haven't always had an easy life, but it's been a good one. I want them to be real, so I'm not going to spend the next two weeks worrying if they're real or not.

[concasse]

Too bad that only works as long as they really are. [Jixsan doesn't bother with the optimistic road]

But at least you'll have an easier time this week.

[goldenglasses]

And for this week as far as I know, they are real. Besides you telling me that you remember me differently I don't know anything past the memories and the feelings I currently have. Kinda hard to react and miss something I don't know, right?

[concasse]

Miss, maybe not, but your entire existence is being called into question. [He casts his glance away] That really doesn't bother you?

[goldenglasses]

[Vash gives that serious thought for a minute.] A little. I really don't like that the Malnosso even make us question something like that. So it does bother me, but what can I do about it right now? Besides what I've heard you say you know different I wouldn't have questioned my life and I'm not sure I'd really want to.

[concasse]

[Though all that, Jixsan nods along - maybe in agreement, maybe just to show he's listening. Whatever the case may be, he doesn't challenge Vash further. Nor does he say anything else.]
