While however I am normally will not be in the same emotional state that I am now, I'm certain she, at least, would want to know as well. Especially if we are anything at all alike.

[She looks over at him and shakes her head at herself. He's right. It's a moot point. Just once she'd like to be able to enjoy these shifts without being so irritated by them.]

But. You're right. It doesn't matter. It probably won't ever matter. If she's lucky she'll have a longer life to look forward to after this place than I do.

--Okay, yeah, so on and so forth--are we done now? Can I go? Because--as mentioned. I've sort of got things to do.

[She snorts out a soft laugh.]

You are such a child. It's almost charming. Or rather, it would be anywhere but here. [Adele waves him off with a half smile.] Go, do whatever it is that you do Starkers. Don't blow up buildings or get anyone killed, etc, etc.

[WHATEVER HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS.]

I won't get anyone killed--but no promises about the building. Though--I have to ask, first. About the scotch? How'd you know? Get it out of Marion somehow?

[She taps her forehead.] To my memory? I'm more or less a Jedi, Starkers. I probably can't make you do anything you wouldn't want to, but picking up on your preferences for alcohol is easy enough.

[alloys]

[Eyebrows.] ...Yeah, if you're stalking me. Is that part of your Jedi powers?

Stalking? No. Mindreading? Yes. You are a particularly focused individual. Your thoughts are louder for it.

[alloys]

Well--I won't argue with that, but--think you might have misread me, or something. Considering, you know. I hardly drink just for the kicks and giggles of it.

...Are you feeling well Starkers? [She narrows her eyes at him and tilts her head to the side. He didn't feel ill. He didn't feel any different than normal.]

Is this a recent development?

Nope, not especially. Might want to brush up on your mind-reading skills, Doc. You're a bit rusty.

[He turns to go.]

..I suppose you're shifted as well, then. Though for the better. Alcoholism was never a good look for you.

Actually? No, I'm the same as ever. Tony Stark, billionaire, inventor, genius industrialist, Iron Man, the package. Ask anyone. Your memories must have been slightly altered with your, um. New intergalactic persona.

[For whatever reason. He's not about to pin sense on the Malnosso.]

No. My memories are for the most part unaltered, events and relationships line up as they would normally from what I've read and seen. [Still, she shrugs.] Whatever it is? It's slight. So there is not much difference outside your sobriety.

[She offers a half smile.] It suits you better. Even if I will miss the drinking contests.

[alloys]

Oh--trust me, I could still win one. Even if I'm out of practice. [He hasn't gotten thoroughly drunk since Iron Man--but moreover, since Marion became part of his life again.]

This is where, were you as you were, I'd offer to get you a drink to celebrate. As you are not one to drink, I'm at a loss. [Still, she grins right back.]
