You never heard of the story until you came here? [That's an amusing surprise. Melanie's from ~*~futuretiems~*~ and even she grew up with those stories.]

Have you not seen the films? I'm from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. We don't have that story there.

I guess we've both been missing out.

Someone in Red's building has them; if you wish to see them. And I've overheard bits of the story, though I must ask. What is 'porridge'?

Nothing enjoyable. [She's never been a fan of the stuff, honestly.]

It doesn't sound enjoyable. It sounds like a punishment. 'Do your chores or you must eat porridge'.

That's probably the most accurate comparison, honestly.

Jedi in training. We learn to master ourselves and our use of The Force for the betterment and protection of the galaxy.

[... Welp. Melanie already figured that Adele was affected by the shift with everything said earlier, but this certainly helps to confirm it. But she won't bring it up. Shifts are temporary, after all. No point in ruining someone's reality when it won't even last.]

Interesting. And just what is the Force, anyway? [SOUNDS KIND OF VAGUE.]

The Force is...well. Hm.

[Adele's more or less aware this is a shift by now. But. There's no shame in enjoying herself while it lasts. Still...how to describe the Force? She takes a moment to consider before rattling off something that was often heard and repeated during her childhood.]

The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.
