Alright. The dress is lovely but the accent could use a bit of work. Talk like that, sweetheart, and they'll all think you're from the rough side of London. Gentler on the vowels, Jills. Gentler.

[the look she gives Buffy is purely startled. She'd known the Slayer for over a year now, and she'd never made a comment like that before.

And what a comment. She knew, of course. She hated the way the accent lingered even after she'd had the good fortune to be taken in by the Kennedys. She'd applied herself to her learning, of course, reveling in the books they'd brought to the house and often pestering Archie to find her more during his visits home. But, while her words themselves had begun to imitate her new family's, the accent had lingered. It was a bit of a blow to have it brought up now.]
