Look how much she simply didn't care about other her. Dull. Boring. Probably even allowed Sparrow to talk her into something stupid like a commitment or something.

"Is that going to be a no on the darts, then?"

"Never go into a battle you can't win."

[herotypical]

"Not even for the sport of it?"

[hageshii]

"Losing's no sport. Now, you want to get a pair of motorcycles and then we might talk."

[herotypical]

"...Motorcycles. Those're like automobiles, yes?"

[hageshii]

"That's the boring way of putting them. Bikes like that are two burning wheels of freedom."

[herotypical]

"Freedom?

Think you they have them at that Battle Dome? To try?"

[hageshii]

"They do. I make use of it as often I can."

[herotypical]

"...I'll have to check it out."

She stood. Drained her glass. Grabbed her coat.

[hageshii]

Goroh did nothing of the sort. Not reacting, beyond taking another sip of his glass. He wouldn't be going with her without an invitation. He had to be wanted.

"Careful 'round the curves. You might smudge up that pretty face of yours."

[herotypical]

Flattery, mate, will get you everywhere.

She smiled. She wanted. "Difficult, is it? Sounds as though I might need a coach of some sort."

All he needed to hear. He finished his glass and stood.

"Turns out I know a guy."

[herotypical]

"...Someone else? And here I was, counting on it being yourself."

She played dumb with a smile on her face that showed she...well...very much knew caught his drift.

[hageshii]

"Well, if you insist, I figure I can make some time for you."

He always did like Buffy. In more ways than one. Pity he was too good a man to ever take advantage of her in this altered state. All the same, there was no harm in some quality time together. The first time they'd ever be spending any kind of time together without a bar counter between them.

And Annie was a woman used to having men make time for her. Unlike Buffy -- who was generally more demure and ultimately clueless about her native charms -- Annie was never concerned with flaunting her charisma.

"Excellent. To the Dome!"

No more prompting required. He brushed back some of his spike hair as he headed towards the door, pushing it open to head out first.

"Seeing as you've gone pirate hippie now, you know anything about being on a bike?"

[herotypical]

"Pirate-pirate, darling. Drop the hippie racket. And not a thing. I am, as one might put it, an innocent in the ways of this motorized bicycle."

[hageshii]

"In that case, I'll try to make your first ride a memorable one. I take it a tough girl like you won't need any protection, right?"

[herotypical]

"I take my vitamins. Tough skin"

A beat. "Figuratively. In actuality, my skin is silky smooth. Salt scrubs, Goroh. They do wonders."

[hageshii]

"I'll take your word for it. Unless you decide you want to give me a demonstration some time."

[herotypical]

"...Play your cards right, first."

[hageshii]

"I'll have to do my best, then. Say, you still dating that pirate?"

[herotypical]

"Who? Sparrow?"

[hageshii]

He doesn't actually know the name. "That's the one."

[herotypical]

"He and I are absolutely not together."
