[It's not a very long wait; she could certainly take her time with it if she wanted, but it's no good to keep Sokka waiting long. (You never know what'll happen.) So after a bit she heads out again in a more reasonable outfit, wandering over to him with a smile on her face.]

Sorry to keep you. Are you ready?

Plenty ready. And starving. I wonder if I even ate while I was gone?

[It's his usual morning hunger, of course. But he can always speculate that he's more hungry than usual. Justifying eating more.]

[kyoshi]

They'd better have fed you. But either way, you can eat as much as you want today.

[Knowing Sokka, he's probably just hungry. He's always hungry. She reaches down to take his hand, tugging him towards the door. She's a bit eager- feels like a while since they had... well, a date.]

Now I get permission? You're too kind. [And this his stomach growls.] ... on the plus side, at least I have a normal appetite. [Unlike... Luffy. Or a lot of guys in this village.]

[kyoshi]

Normal appetite? As opposed to...?

[She has yet to have the pleasure of meeting such... enthusiastic eaters.]

Don't tell you haven't seen guys like Luffy, right? He eats more in one sitting than all of us eat in a day.

[kyoshi]

...No way. You're joking, right?

[How can a person eat that much? Is he huge or something?]

I think he has a black hole in his stomach.

[Of course, Sokka knows what that is because he's big into science. But. He quickly realizes Suki might not know that.] Um. A black hole is a star that collapsed under its own gravity and creates an anomaly in space that nothing can escape from.

[markofthewise]

[... he realizes that's just as unhelpful. Um.]

His stomach is like a bottomless pit.

[...Wow, Sokka. That's... quite the explanation. She blinks at him for a moment, a mixture of confusion and amusement on her expression, then leans over and kisses his cheek, letting the amusement win.]

Are you sure he eats more than you, then?

[Yeah. Bumbling amusement wins out again. Not that he doesn't smile sheepishly because of it.]

Err, yeah. Definitely sure. I've seen him eat.

[kyoshi]

I hope he's not at the restaurant when we get there, then. I'd hate for them to run out of food.

[This all seems about silly, but Sokka doesn't seem to be joking...]

Sanji's his cook. If there's anyone that can keep up with his appetite, I'm sure he can.

[No but seriously, Sokka hopes he isn't there either.]

Well, that's good to know. And I can't blame him for eating so much of the food, in that case- Sanji's a great chef.

[markofthewise]

If we had Sanji making all our meals, I think we'd all be a lot rounder.

[kyoshi]

Good thing we have Katara to keep our appetites in check, then!

[markofthewise]

Even if our diet is a lot more... vegetarian now. [Sure, Katara cooks two separate meals for them. But still. So much not-meat.]

[kyoshi]

There's never enough meat in your diet, Sokka.

[markofthewise]

I just happen to know what I like, that's all.
