It is. I wouldn't touch it, as it can cut through nearly any non-magical material. It is a traditional weapon in my world. A Jedi's weapon.

[He presses a button and retracts the blade]

I'm impressed. [Op and there is goes.] I guess it's only fair to show you the Keyblade now, isn't it? [She backs away and holds out her hand, soon summoning forth Destiny's Embrace.]

I suppose it is fair. [When he sees it, he blinks, and gives it an interested look]

It...really does look like a key. Huh, I didn't think it would be quite so literal!

[She grins brightly, giving it a few test swings.] Definitely literal. With the Keyblade, its appearance changes based on what kind of keychain you put on it, but the main shape stays the same.

Oh? Does the change in appearance change the properties?

[meteorical]

Yes. Depending on what Keychain you use, some of them are more powerful than others. There isn't really a bad Keyblade though.

That is interesting. With a lightsaber, one can shift the crystals around, but that only changes the color, and some of the blade's properties when struck. Not much else.

How exactly can you shift the crystals in a lightsaber?

[He undoes a small latch, opening the side to reveal a brilliant green crystal]

Like this. Its not a mystical weapon like yours, it is a piece of Galactic technology.

So it's a literal switch. [Making mental notes, this one is.] Like the Keychains, but not as much is changed. Do the colors mean anything?

Not usually. They are typically just left up to the preference of the wielder. Some have associations, like the Jedi typically prefer blue and green, and the Sith have a preference for Red. But, it doesn't truly make a different.

...who are the Sith?

[Luke sighs. This question wasn't the easiest to answer, and came up frequently, but he's gotten good at being succinct with it]

They are the opposite of the Jedi. Destructive, violent, wielders of the Dark Side.

[meteorical]

And let me guess...it's your job as Jedi to stop the Sith before the darkness overtakes the light?

Actually, no. The Jedi are guardians and peacekeepers. Our goal is not to drive off the Sith, nor kill them. Our job is to maintain peace. By attacking the Sith we are breaking that peace. That is the way of the Dark Side, not the Light.

Oh. [She sounds genuinely surprised to hear this. Peacekeepers...that sounds just as difficult though, considering how familiar she is with people mucking up peace where she's from.] It's not an easy job, is it?
