All day on the 10th, especially early.

[Obi-Wan will be wandering sort of haphazardly through the village, concentrating. Thinking. Trying to sort out reality from falsehood, genuine emotion from artificial memories of affection.

If anybody saw the video from this morning, it's not hard to guess what he's having the hardest time sussing out.

He'll be in Seventh Heaven a long time, this morning. He's barely touching his tea. Beyond that, feel free to find him anywhere around the village.]

[Ran Fan has not been herself at all, and she wasn't even affected by the experiment. Ling was though, and that's what was getting to her. The fact that they kissed ran through her mind non-stop since it happened. It was wrong. She shouldn't be thinking about this, but here she was, thinking about how nice it was to kiss-

AH! Stop it! This was getting ridiculous.

Seventh Heaven. She stopped in front of it. Maybe a cup of tea would help her clear her mind.

Ran Fan walked in and spotted Obi-Wan. He would know how to help. The ninja walked over to her new mentor and cleared her throat to get his attention.]

[Obi-Wan looked up from the unmarred, whole danish in his hand.]

"Oh, hello, there."

[She would normally take her mask off at this point, but she remembered that she wasn't wearing it anymore... she didn't even have it. Sad times.]

[He sips his tea for a moment, simply watching her neutrally.]

"Was there something you wished to speak to me about?"

"Indirectly. My own history was not shifted into a different reality, but my friend Adele LeBlanc's history was shifted into my own home reality. She was..."

[His immediate thought is that he is in no condition to train her now.

His second thought is that it doesn't matter, since he told her that he would. One does not shy away from one's obligations.

His third thought is that it might be helpful to him, regardless. So, he nods.]

[Chun-Li usually takes her morning tea in Seventh Heaven, and today is no exception. She's just come in from a run, and sits down to drink a cup or two to recharge. She can't help but notice the gentleman who's not touching his tea, she feels him brooding, and...is practically overwhelmed by curiosity.

She approaches and takes a seat next to him, wanted or no. She's pushy like that, Ben.]

Hey, you alright?

And apparently it happened late.

[He snaps out of his reverie, taking a single sip of tea, distractedly.]

"Well enough... do I know you?"

[She grins and holds her head in her palms, leaning against the table]

Nope! But I've seen you around. Not sure who you are, but you look familiar. Either way, I'm Chun-Li. And in my culture, its a sin to waste good tea. So...something's gotta be on your mind, or you wouldn't be moping around here.

So here I am, to cheer you up! Whats your name, gloomy?

[He did not look gloomy. He was a Jedi. A picture of composure and tranquility. Absolutely free of gloom, doom, and variants thereof.

He sips more tea. She was right, it'd be a shame to waste it.]

[To her? Thats the very picture of gloomy. You aren't getting rid of her that easily NOW]

OH, YOU are Obi-Wan? Adele mentioned you. Said you could use a friend. Mister Kenobi, you definitely need some cheering up. Whether you know it or not. That mask you're wearing? Tranquility? I've seen all that before. My father used to wear it all the time. So does Ryu. You aren't fooling anybody with the stoic act, least of all me.

Well, not this morning, chief. You've just attracted the attention of the best cop in Hong Kong. So. That means we're having tea. Unless you somehow object to having tea with a kind stranger.

[She'll just give you the most wicked grin, Obi-Wan. And then take a sip from her own teacup.]

So. Where are you from?

[He takes another sip of his own tea. It's gotten cold. Oh, dear.]

"A small planet called Stewjon, but I was raised in the Jedi Temple."

OHHH, so you're from space. OK. That makes sense.

A...Jedi. Thats what you are? Hmm. What do Jedi do?

"We are guardians of peace and order throughout the Republic."

"Essentially, we serve as diplomats, protectors, advisors, and, when necessary, military commanders."

Very nice. So...special forces for your Space Republic?

[She's genuinely impressed]

I take it you have some sort of special powers? Or did you use all kinds of neat laser guns and stuff?

"Laser guns? Oh, no. Blasters are messy things. Clumsy. Uncivilized. Artless. They cannot defend, they cannot disarm, they can only injure and destroy."

[He nibbles his danish.]

"But yes, we are, though we're not actually part of the Republic's military or law enforcement. As for special powers, we are adherents to what I suppose you might consider a form of religion, in that we follow and draw strength from a mystical energy known as the Force.

And our weapons are not guns. They are, in a manner of speaking, swords. Though they are also meant to be our last resort, drawn in violence only when all other options have been exhausted."
