Well... the "manga" [that's what it's called, right?] store was probably the worst. The other stuff we were able to walk past pretty quickly.

Of course they were! It was Akiba - they were probably nerd fat otaku who think that the only girls worth knowing are 2D because they couldn't get a real one to date them if they tried.

2D? Is that like a 3d?

[Because if you don't know 2D, it seems unlikely you know 3D]

3D stands for "three dimensional" - a threes dimensional object is something like you and me. Solid, tangible. [She stands to go draw a smilie face on a note pad on the desk and then hold it up] This face is two dimensional. It only exists on the flat paper.

The characters in manga or games are two dimensional. People in reality are three dimensional.
