Summary: It's finally here, an entire day dedicated to celebrating the starfish and spending time with friends. Have fun!

After months of planning and roping in poor, innocent people to help out with some of the work it's finally done. An actual festival, all for the starfish.

The morning of the 14th mostly consists of people arriving, the stalls being brought in and decorations being put up. It's all about the preparation! Most of the decorating consists of banners and streamers you might find at a school festival, all hung around doors and windows and between the buildings in the plaza. And star shaped pieces of card being stuck up here and there in places too. If the decorations don't tell you what's going on then the banners saying 'STARFISH FESTIVAL' certainly will.

Come midday the festival is in full swing. There's plenty of food at many of the stalls (either prepared by Fuuko and the other girls or brought in by other villagers) ranging from cake, ice cream and different kinds of sweet things, to starfish tea, sandwiches, all sorts of festival fare. There are a few games set up too where it's possible to win starfish related prizes like pins, badges and even plush toys and some stalls are even giving out wind chimes. Finally there's also a little entertainment provided with music being played in the background throughout most of the festival. (You should totally go listen to Kotomi giving her very own violin recital.)

By night time when most of the food is gone there will be a fireworks display to bring an end to the festival. Hopefully the Starfish Festival would be a day to remember!

(You didn't need to receive an invite in order to come, that was just the girl's attempt at getting word of the festival out there. The festival is open to anyone and everyone to come along and have a good time.)

[Oh all right. He spots Fuuko and comes in for a landing, jumping off of his broom and approaching the stall.]

Afternoon, Fuuko. What's all this?

This is the Starfish Festival, can't you tell? It's the first ever festival of its kind in Luceti and Fuuko is very proud to be holding such an original and wonderful event here!

[And it'll probably be the only festival of its kind too. Until next year. Maybe.]

[And no one was surprised. Give him a few moments to take it all in before he's lifting an eyebrow and looking back at her.] You did this all by yourself?

Fuuko had a lot of help with setting things up and making sure everyone knew about the festival but it was Fuuko's idea in the first place. Everyone was very nice to help out like they did, Fuuko couldn't be happier!

[She'll start cutting a slice of cake to hand to Draco whether he wants it or not. It's a festival, live a little and enjoy some starfish cake.]

[Holy hell what are you...oh it's cake. Okay. Draco likes cake...] I can see you're just bursting with enthusiasm. [Another sweeping glance of the plaza.] Never underestimate the power of bored people in a large group. Congratulations. You gave them all a decent Sunday afternoon.

[Well good, get that cake down you and cheer up~] It's hard for Fuuko to be anything else when there's a festival for the starfish happening here and now. [Passing the cake over now on a paper plate. Enjoy!] How rude Draco-san, everyone who helped out was perfectly happy to do so. It's not like they were all bored and had nothing better to do, they were all willing to help out because they wanted to! The memories of today will last all Sunday and for many years to come.

[Hey hey hey he's perfectly cheerful thank you.] I suppose you're right. [He'll take it, though he can't help but laugh a bit.] I never said that they weren't. All I was saying is never to underestimate. I don't know about years, Fuuko, but at least a couple of weeks. Maybe a month.

[Needs more starfish spirit!] ... Of course. [Ooh, she's right. That's nice.] Do you really think everyone here will only remember today for that long? Fuuko will always remember today... And Fuuko really hopes everyone else will too. For many, many years to come.

[Being remembered is important after all, especially when there's the chance you wake up one day and everyone has started to forget you.]

Fuuko will ask you about the festival in a months time Draco-san, just to see what you remember.

[He just raises an eyebrow again. He's starting to get that impression.]

Why exactly is it that important that people remember?

Memories are some of the most important things we have! Even when someone leaves they're still there in a way, in our memories. And not just of people, but memories of events and places we've been to in the past.

If Fuuko could have given everyone here lots of fond memories to look back on and smile then Fuuko will be even happier than Fuuko already is today!

I suppose that makes sense...though that sounds like you're planning on leaving sometime soon.

That wasn't Fuuko's intention, seeing as Fuuko hopes to stay here for a very long time... But you never know, with the way things are here Fuuko might be gone by tomorrow.

...and...why exactly do you want to stay?

Fuuko has made so many friends here and done so many things. Fuuko wants to stay here with Nagisa-san and everyone else.

[Back home she didn't have a proper life after what happened after the welcome ceremony. Here she does.]

[His eyebrows furrow together in thought as he absorbs that. It sort of lines up with what Nagisa was saying earlier.]

Even with all of the horrid things they do to us here?

Even with all the bad things. Fuuko would much prefer not having to go through experiments and things. [There's a sigh as Fuuko turns around and glances at the festival and all the people who showed up, a small smile on her face.] But if Fuuko has to put up with those sorts of things to stay here then Fuuko thinks it's worthwhile.

...I'll tell you a secret. I'd prefer to stay here, too.

Huh? Really? ... There are so many people here who want to go home that Fuuko was starting to think it was wrong to want to stay. Do you want to stay with all the friends you've made too?

[A nod. Of course he does. Luceti, despite how absolutely terrible it could be on some of its best days, was much more preferable than the alternative of going back home to being a Death Eater, to working under Voldemort and to not having any means of friends or support.]

I'll never see them again after I leave this place, and I know that. I'm not in a great rush to get home anyhow, so I may as well enjoy my time here. If that means staying a few more years, fine.

Fuuko never would have expected you to be the type who would think like that. Sorry if that sounds rude Draco-san, it isn't Fuuko's intention.

[She smiles and looks up at Draco. It's a little strange to be talking like this with him without being mercilessly trolled but she definitely isn't complaining.]

Fuuko doesn't want to rush home either. Here's hoping we're both here for a long time to come!

[He can't even really call her out on being rude, seeing how she's not exactly lying. It doesn't sound like something he would say under normal circumstances...but Draco hasn't been normal for a few years now.]

Yeah. Here's hoping. [He actually even offers something of a wary kind of smile before looking back.] I should probably get going soon. Errands to take care of and the like.

Ah, okay, Fuuko understands. You're probably busy with all sorts of wizard business, that's okay. Fuuko is happy you managed to come today Draco-san! [Don't set off just yet though, she still has one more thing to give Draco.

Fuuko runs back to her stall, pick out one of the badges she made and runs back to pin it onto Draco's clothing. Hopefully he won't mind too much.] There, now you have something to take away with you to remember this day.

[Give him a second as he just looks down at the pin. He blinks once, twice, before his lips twitch in another smile. You're not so bad, Fuuko. Just for today.] I'll keep it around as a reminder. Thanks.
