Summary: It's finally here, an entire day dedicated to celebrating the starfish and spending time with friends. Have fun!

After months of planning and roping in poor, innocent people to help out with some of the work it's finally done. An actual festival, all for the starfish.

The morning of the 14th mostly consists of people arriving, the stalls being brought in and decorations being put up. It's all about the preparation! Most of the decorating consists of banners and streamers you might find at a school festival, all hung around doors and windows and between the buildings in the plaza. And star shaped pieces of card being stuck up here and there in places too. If the decorations don't tell you what's going on then the banners saying 'STARFISH FESTIVAL' certainly will.

Come midday the festival is in full swing. There's plenty of food at many of the stalls (either prepared by Fuuko and the other girls or brought in by other villagers) ranging from cake, ice cream and different kinds of sweet things, to starfish tea, sandwiches, all sorts of festival fare. There are a few games set up too where it's possible to win starfish related prizes like pins, badges and even plush toys and some stalls are even giving out wind chimes. Finally there's also a little entertainment provided with music being played in the background throughout most of the festival. (You should totally go listen to Kotomi giving her very own violin recital.)

By night time when most of the food is gone there will be a fireworks display to bring an end to the festival. Hopefully the Starfish Festival would be a day to remember!

(You didn't need to receive an invite in order to come, that was just the girl's attempt at getting word of the festival out there. The festival is open to anyone and everyone to come along and have a good time.)

Fuuko would probably have trouble sleeping if it were too noisy, but maybe you get used to it. Sleeping aside, Fuuko really hopes so. It would be horrible to ever lose a memory about a day like today.

I wonder if maybe we can write it down somewhere and find a way to take the written down memories with us. You know, like a journal or something.

Oh! That's a good idea! In fact if we could find a way to take anything from here home with us then that would be great. Just looking at our belongings should be enough to remind us about our time here.

If you could take one thing from Luceti home with you, Fuuko, what would it be?

That's a tough question, there's a lot here Fuuko has been given that Fuuko would like to keep. [All those starfish plushies...] Can Fuuko choose to take Manami-san home with Fuuko or are pets not allowed?

I think pets count. Why wouldn't they? They're still special to you.

Fuuko wasn't sure if it would be possible to take living things, that's all. But if they do count then Fuuko would take Manami-san! ... And his tank and a lot of water, otherwise that would be very horrible if Fuuko was stuck with a starfish and no water.

Water's kind of a universal thing though, isn't it? I'm sure you could find another tank and some water back home.

But what if Fuuko came to and there weren't any taps nearby?! Not only that Manami-san needs the right temperature water or he'll get sick, and a filter too. It would take some time for Fuuko to get everything together, and not all of these things are free like they are here!

...you've given this a scary amount of thought, haven't you? What if you could buy a new Manami-san when you got back?

It doesn't take much thought to realise how horrible everything could turn out, you need to imagine the worst case scenario with these sorts of things! Fuuko would never buy a new Manami-san back home though.

[Where could she put a tank for that anyway, in her hospital room?]

Just don't dwell on it...you can imagine it, but it's not going to do you any good to over-think.

Fuuko can imagine it. That's some very easy for Fuuko do, playing out how getting a new starfish would go and how Fuuko would cope.

[She would find a starfish. He would be named Maniimi-san. He would live in a tank and he would be very adorable.

Someone would end up knocking the tank, smashing it and killing Maniimi. Then her starfish would become apart of awful riddles like 'Maniimi is dead on the floor next to a puddle of water, how did he die?' and then people would assume Maniimi is a person and not a starfish which would make the riddle difficult to solve.

This is exactly what will happen.]

It's too horrible for Fuuko to imagine, Maniimi should never have been brought into Fuuko's world! Maniimi-saaan!!
