Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

[Well hey there. She briefly grins at Toothless, remembering her rule about not petting the dragon on the nose and approaching Hiccup's booth. Her eyes are immediately glued to that hat though.]

...Hiccup, what is that?

[Toothless will tilt his head curiously at her when she approaches, while Hiccup plucks the helmet off his head to show it to her.]

It's, uh...well, it's a helmet! For protecting heads. As helmets ought to.

[She just rolls her eyes, moving to get a closer look.] Yeah, I figured that part out. It's just that I've never seen a helmet that looks like this before. Did you make it yourself?

Ah--no. It's the same one I had back home, actually. My dad gave it to me.

[Where he got it from is a different matter entirely.]

[She's tempted to ask, but she's more interested in the craftsmanship.] It's really sturdy-feeling. Well-made. [It's then she backs off of the helmet a bit and looks around the rest of the booth.]

So this is Berk in a nutshell, huh?

[STURDY. He tries not to laugh, because then he'll have to explain. So he just grins nervously and nods.]

Yep, pretty much. Weapons and dragons and shields. That's about it.

[If Shiki knew what she had just been holding she would have possibly thrown it.]

The simple life. I didn't even know you were setting up a booth for the festival.

[What, it's not THAT weird!

...Okay, maybe it is pretty weird.]

Well, world sharing is my favorite part of school...and if nothing else, the dragons are pretty cool, I think.

I'll say. [She's bent down a bit to go eye-level with the Hideous Zippleback model.] How do you even handle something with two heads?

Well, back when we were learning how to--fight them? [He hesitates of the word.] You weren't in too much danger as long as you could douse the head that breathed gas. The other head could only light it--so if the gas threat was neutralized, it couldn't light a fire.

[Easy as that!] ...Of course, you still have to avoid the snapping jaws and teeth and spikes and claws...

...I'd die really fast in your world, I think. [She's examining the other models though.] But these guys are just wandering freely around, right?

I don't know, you stood up to Ganondorf. I think you could handle being a viking alright. [He nods.] Yeah. And there's tons of them everywhere.

That's different. Ganondorf was a bully and couldn't burn me to a crisp. I guess it's just hard to imagine what that must be like. Dragons wouldn't fit into Shibuya no matter how hard they tried.

What makes you say that?

Where I'm from? It's a really, really big city and it's super-crowded. They wouldn't have room to move, let alone be discreet. And anyway if dragons showed up people would assume they would be all Godzilla-like and just start a rampage.

...Godzilla? Who's Godzilla?

[Hiccup has never heard of a dragon named that before...but he can understand the crowded issue.]

Godzilla's like...this giant monster. Big dinosaur-looking thing that liked to go around stomping on buildings in Japan. I mean he's fake obviously. I'll have to see if I can find one of the movies for you to watch sometime. They're pretty terrible but they're a huge part of pop culture.

[...Pop culture? :|] Ahh--right. Well, I would think a dragon wouldn't just go around stomping on everything, but you're probably right. They wouldn't exactly fit in there.

[Oh Hiccup...Shiki has so much to teach you, doesn't she?] I don't know, I think he was really mad or something, I forget the whole plot. But anyway, you'd be surprised. I've seen things around here even stomp on buildings and wreck them. [You know, like Haruhi's giant squid.]

[Yes he does, wise master.] Well, there was that time all those monsters came out of the Battle Dome...but--even, then, I don't remember much building stomping. What do you mean?

[That's it. Hiccup has to come to house 10 to watch bad movies someday.] Haruhi's never told you about the giant alien squid, has she?

[He will be overjoyed at the exposure of culture.]

...Nooooo, I can't say that she has. Um. Want to enlighten me?

His name's C'Thun. He was literally a giant white squid that wandered around the village, and he totally ruined my shop. He was only around for a day or two, it's been a few years.

[...H...uh.]

Yyyeah, she definitely didn't mention that. Were you guys...friends at the time?

Me and the alien squid, or me and Haruhi? [She knows what he means, but she can't help but tease him a bit.]
