When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it
Where: All around the town square

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

You have my condolences. [A year is not something she would like to imagine. Anything past a handful of months, really.] It is also a shame that you cannot find any maps. They could be utilized in geological comparison of continents so that we could determine whether you are from another alternate Earth.

...Thanks. [Yeah. He's a bit homesick.] I'll keep looking for the maps--we definitely had them back on our island. I'd think they were pretty accurate, too. My tribe did a lot of sailing.

As did the Vikings of Earth. While I was aware of other planets existing... the idea of convergent cultural evolution is not an idea that had occurred to me.

I just wish I had met some other vikings here. [He'd like to see firsthand what similarities and differences there were.] Oh--but I did meet Thor once. Yep.

Thor? As in the Norse god of thunder?

Yyyyep. That's the one. He had his mighty hammer Mjolnir and everything.

[Hiccup kind of. Flipped out.]

[She laughs in disbelief, shaking her head and looking wide-eyed.] That is... highly unlikely.

[dragoneer]

I know, I know, it sounds crazy. But believe me. It showed up in the smithy--where I work?--and no one could pick it up except for him. And when he did, there was all this thunder and lightning a-and magic!

[He's sounding a little fanboyish now.]

Are you certain that his timing was not coincidental with a storm?

...Pretty sure. Iiii don't think his armor suddenly appearing and forming around him was a coincidence, either.

[She's not so much a skeptic as extremely rational. And gods, unfortunately, are one thing that do not fit into her rational view. So there's doubt on her face, despite her interest.]

Armor does not just suddenly appear.

Youuuu...haven't been in Luceti long, have you? There's kind of a lot of things that happen here that you probably think are impossible.

I've only been here for a month and a half. [And, unfortunately, is extremely stubborn.] But even though I have witnessed... certain phenomenon difficult to explain, I still maintain that there is a logical explanation to everything.

[dragoneer]

Is...magic a logical explanation?

[She doesn't quite shake her head, but there's a definite look of dislike that crosses her face at the term. But for a change, Brennan does not dismiss the question outright. Someone's been doing a lot of thinking.]

I... dislike the term. It speaks of a lack of understanding of natural processes. The lack of an attempt to utilize the scientific method to explain the phenomenon in the detail and complexity deserving.

...Have you met Professor Raine yet? She knows all kinds of things about magic--and explaining it. There are others, too. Iiii'm definitely not the person to ask, though. Magic and I...don't exactly get along.

[In other words, all his attempts to communicate with the spirits in Luceti? Utter failures.]

Yes. I do believe she was one of the first people I spoke with upon arriving here. Ms. Raine has been extremely informative in regards to the history of Luceti and this world. Far more so than the guide.
