When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

So why is his name Toothless?

Ahhh...well, see--he can do this thing, with his teeth? Where he can pull them back into his jaw when he's not using them. I'm not really sure what they're for, though.

[Really, it remains a mystery to him.]

[hisapprentice]

Well that's strange.

[Luke regards Toothless again with a half-smile.]

I bet you're the best dragon in his whole world, aren't you?

[dragoneer]

[Toothless tips his nose up haughtily and nods. You bet he is.]

Iiii'm certain he thinks so. And--yeah, he's pretty great. You won't find a faster flier or a better aim around.

[hisapprentice]

Wait. ...Wait, do you ride him?

[dragoneer]

Well--yeah. Pretty much everyday, actually.

[hisapprentice]

[THIS FACE.]

[dragoneer]

[Yeah. He knows. It's pretty cool.]

It's just something that vikings do. Or--that we do now. We didn't always ride dragons.

[hisapprentice]

Wait, vikings? My world used to have vikings!

[dragoneer]

[Used to have. Sob.]

Really? Ahhh...where'd they go?

[hisapprentice]

Away on their boats somewhere, I suppose. We read about them in history books. There are people descended from vikings...from a long time ago.

[dragoneer]

[He blinks, suddenly much more interested in what Luke has to say on the subject.]

Really? What kinds of people?

[hisapprentice]

Umm...well...just people, I guess. The ones from certain countries especially.

[dragoneer]

Northern countries, right? That's what I've seen in most books in the library.

[hisapprentice]

Yeah! That's right. Probably some people in England too, even if I'm not sure I've met any of them.

[dragoneer]

England...that's by where the vikings first settled, right? I mean--in most versions of Earth history. I'm really not sure if that's how it is for mine.

[hisapprentice]

Sort of, yeah! I think. [Not very much for history.]

But I'm almost positive they didn't have dragons to ride.

[dragoneer]

...That's usually what I hear. I guess my vikings are pretty unique in that way.

[hisapprentice]

Maybe they lived longer too!
