Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a mass log for people to comment around on if they don't want to make posts. Or even if they want to make posts anyway. There will be at least one more of these later in the event! ENJOY!

days 1-3 (may 26-28)

[Welp, looks like it's that time of month again. No, no, not that time of month, the other time of month -- experiment time. But good thing Pao-Lin isn't affected!]

days 4-7 (may 29-june 1)

[ -- except she suddenly wakes up on the morning of the 29th as an adorable little dragon.

Oh. Well. As far as experiment effects go, this is...pretty nice, actually. She kinda wishes she were bigger and a little less adoracute (how is she supposed to put the fear of the gods into her enemies looking like this?), but hey, she's still a dragon. That's pretty fucking awesome.

So you can find Dragon-Lin being all dragony around Luceti over these few days. She'll stick to the forests for the most part, but you can still catch her in the village proper before she heads out there. She's rather pleased by this change, so she'll be a little more sociable and cheerful than she's been the past few weeks.]

days 8-10 (June 2-4)

[Sadly, she's back to normal for the last three days of the event. Boo.]

Day 4

[Roku's a little aways from town today to practice a bit of firebending and you know...not trying to burn houses on accident. He spots the little dragon in the sky while he was training and slips in the middle of a sequence.]

Whoa! [Hello, rogue fireball in the sky!]

[Yeep! Pao-Lin yelps and swerves to avoid it, but she ends up losing enough altitude that she crashes into a treetop. Whoops?]

[...oops. He better make sure that dragon's ok. He rushes to where he believes she had fallen, scanning the treetops.]

Hey! Are you okay up there!?

[Pao-Lin struggles a bit in the branches.]

I'm fine, I think!

[And then the main branch supporting her decides to snap, sending her tumbling unceremoniously through the greenery down to the ground. Oof! Good thing she's a dragon -- otherwise she might've broken a few bones in the process.]

Day 1 SURPRISE

[ Hey Pao-Lin, hope you don't mind someone just sort of... appearing in your apartment in the super-early morning. Saten can tell that there's a person in that nearby darkness, and clearly something weird is going on so she's going to find out what it is by asking around. Unfortunately for Pao-Lin, she's the nearest person to Saten for her to ask. ]

Um... hello!

OH GODS A SATEN SURPRISE the worst ever.........

[...huh. Why was it so dark in her bedroom? Like, really damn dark? It wasn't like nighttime darkness...ah, crap. It was experiment time, wasn't it? What was it this time?

Confused and groggy, Pao-Lin carefully climbs out of bed and feels her way out into the hall, which is unfortunately just as dark as her bedroom was. That's when she hears bitty!Saten's voice -- though she doesn't recognize it.]

Who's there?

[ Well, she's not technically bitty. She's the exact same as before, what with the agelessness and all. But she does sound cheerful! That'll certainly throw you. ]

Oh. My name is Saten. Do you know what sort of place this is?

[gosh, she sure looks a lot younger when she actually deigns to look legitimately happy. 8|]

M-Miss Saten?!

[Sorry, Pao-Lin's too shocked at the moment to find this particular person in her apartment to worry about answering the question.]

Day 6!

[Okay, today has been weird so far. Waking up bodyswapped with Leonhardt a few days ago was bad enough, but suddenly finding himself looking like his sister is probably even more strange for him. Not to mention Leonhardt being stuck as Renne somehow... who's not even in the village, as far as he knows. And right when it looked like things were back to normal for them, soon.

Following a brief training session at the battle dome to see if his abilities were at all affected by the experiment, Joshua - or rather, Joshua-turned-Estelle clad in a currently slightly too big, long-sleeved version of his draft outfit - is out and about in the forest, scouting the area like he so often tends to.

...Or at least, that's what he was doing until a certain little yellow dragon flying around catches his attention.

Huh. He hasn't seen one of those around before. Another person affected by the experiment, maybe...?

Hopefully Dragon-Lin doesn't mind being stared at by a twin-tailed brunette too much. Seeing an actual, live dragon - if one that's most likely just a resident transformed by the experiment, if the past few days are any indication - for once is pretty fascinating, to say the least.]

[After nearly being fried by a stray fireball, Pao-Lin's started paying a little more attention to her environment while flying around. It's easier now that she's got the hang of being a dragon. So she soon notices Joshua-turned-Estelle staring at her.

Curious and cautious, Pao-Lin merely stops in mid-flight and hovers a little, staring back. Unsure of what he wants, she just gives a cute little wave with her claw.]

[That wave is met with a small, slightly hesitant wave in return. It looks like whoever this dragon is isn't hostile, at least... That's a good sign, all things considered.]

Hey. I hope I'm not bothering you. [For someone who currently looks much like a tomboyish girl, those words are said in a surprisingly soft, calm tone - one Pao-Lin might just recognize, even if Joshua's actual voice is different from usual.

...A dragon. An actual, live dragon. If that's another result of this ongoing experiment as he suspects, that's a pretty amazing thing to get turned into, all things considered.]

Day 9!

[ Don't worry Pao-lin. Helios the Derpagon will make your last remaining days of the event fun at least. He is just going to be sitting outside the Bakery looking into the window with a frown. He wants sweeeeets! ]

[Given her death penalty, Pao-Lin's made much less trips to the food places than is her usual routine. But when she sees that dragon staring into the bakery window, of course she can't help but make her way over. She won't say anything yet, though, since she doesn't know if this one might be hostile. She loves dragons, but that's why she knows she should definitely be cautious with them, even if this is just the result of the experiment going on right now.]

[ Helios catches Pao-lin out of the corner of his eye. He might rear up his head to look back at her with a mildly unhumanlike toothy grin. It might also translate into he is going to eat you! But, no, he just lifts up a large clawed hand and waves a little. ] Pao-lin! Hello!

[ Talking dragons are totally normal here, yup. ]

Day 7!

[Grune is just off the work at the flower shop when she notices out of the corner of her eye....]

Oh, my. [What a cute dragon! She ambles on over in its direction.]

Hello, there!

[Pao-Lin had just been hovering along at a leisurely speed when she hears Grune's voice. By this point, she's definitely mastered flying, so she easily turns on a dime to greet the woman.]

Hi, Grune! [Pause.] Um...it's me, Pao-Lin. I got turned into a dragon. [Just in case Grune doesn't recognize the voice.]

[Blink. Smile! (Yeah, Grune doesn't need a lot of time to adjust.)]

My, how nice! It must be so much fun being a dragon!

Day 5

[Rue is out climbing trees in the forest when something yellow flies by. She blinks, then swings a few trees over to try to get a better look at the yellow flying thing.]

[Pao-Lin doesn't realize she's being followed/watched until she perches on a branch to rest a bit. That's when she glances over a shoulder and sees Rue there.

Oh. She's talked to this girl before, hasn't she?]

Um...hi. You're Rue, right?

[Rue smiles when she catches up with the dragon, surprised when she hears it speak and that it knows her name.]

Yeah! How do you know my name?

[Pao-Lin's still trying to get the hang of maintaining consistent flight, so she doesn't immediately notice Anise staring at her. Once she does, though, she whirls around (a bit wobbily) and waves a little.]

Oh, hey, Anise!

[Her voice is still the same, so Anise should be able to recognize it.]

Day 5

[Walter is out attempting to carve another little wooden figurine by the river in the forest when he notices something ... strange and way too large to be a lizard out of the corner of his eye. He stops what he's doing, trying to get a better look at what had been passing by.]

[When Pao-Lin notices Walter looking in her direction, she stops and simpers.]

Oh...sorry, am I bothering you?
