When: A hero doesn't care if this event last a whole ten days
Where: Everyone can blaze a hero's trail
Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.
Rating: Rated H for HEROIC

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a mass log for people to comment around on if they don't want to make posts. Or even if they want to make posts anyway. There will be at least one more of these later in the event! ENJOY!

[What was your first hint? That he didn't kick you in the ribs to shut you up during all that frantic verbal flailing? His eyes widen marginally in surprise when he's shown the bracelet, and an embarrassed grimace is quick to appear on his lips.] Jeb...?

[He had started to warm up to Jeb a little before the fiasco with Valentines day, but after that? Yeah, he would prefer to pretend it never happened. He doesn't know what to think about the other boy, wary of the many inner weaknesses and secrets shared during their time together - but if Jeb is truly as kind as he seemed...]

...You're still wearing that. [He sounds more annoyed than pissed off.]

[Looks away, still embarrassed. Yes, Mithos is definitely also affected, just like Silver and Jeb himself. In any case, he pulls his arm back.]

Of course I am... [Sighs.] Even if you don't think those promises were real, I... I do want to be there for you. I want to keep my word.

[Jeb's still frustrated with sounding so much like himself while using Tori's voice. If this were Tori, she'd be saying she was going to keep her word to Mithos whether he liked it or not, and he was just going to have to deal with it. Why can't he be more like her?]

[He stares silently for a moment, uncomfortable, skin prickling with claustrophobia despite the open air.]

How long are you going to sit down there? [Maybe he's prolonging a real answer, because he doesn't know what to say. Jeb has told him the same thing over and over again, and the more he hears it the more he wants to believe it. He likes the quiet ripples the words leave inside him.]

[He stares downward.]

To be honest, I'm not sure I can get back up very easily. I-I'm not used to... well... [Gestures to his new body.] The extra height. A-And the wide hips.

[NERVOUS. LAUGHTER. And then a quick check to make sure he's not spilling out. The last thing he wants is to expose Tori's body to everyone.]

[...Wow, too much information. But he remembers being transformed into his sister more than a year ago, and the difficulties of adjusting to that. Not just physically, but emotionally. Seeing her form and knowing he was no closer to truly being with her...

He briefly wonders whose image Jeb has assumed - or if he's traded bodies with someone - but says nothing. He isn't even sure why he hasn't left yet...]

[Allow him to fill you in, Mithos, since you being kinder than usual is allowing him to slip into the mindset of being so open with you once again. Then again, maybe that's not what's happening at all. Maybe he's saying the following to himself more than anything else:]

She's always on my mind, and I always miss her. Giving me her appearance, her voice... it's just cruel. [Looks off to the side.] I usually don't get this frustrated, either. I'm so pathetic... I can't even bring myself to smile while I look like her.

[And he hates himself more and more with each word he speaks with her voice.]

[He remembers staring at Martel's reflection in the mirror, unable to smile like her. He remembers hearing her voice, knowing no words from his own mouth would be enough to comfort him, not the way she could. The words of empathy get stuck in his throat - he doesn't know how to shape them.]

...Yes, I...know how that feels. [He's saying this? He's...saying this. Maybe he's remembering the boy he cared about so much for a week. Maybe he wants to give him a chance...]

You do? [Looking back up at him again, though he's holding himself while he's doing it. The closest thing he's been able to get to hugging Tori in a year. Everything feels so alien and wrong...]

[He takes a breath and opens the lid a little.] ...Last year, I...assumed the appearance of my sister, because of a Malnosso experiment.
