Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a second log so people can change up their effects and try something new, jump into the event late, or just avoid the impending CAPTCHA on the first log.

[Well, alright, she'll indulge. Actually, she has always wanted to fly with them, but for some reason just never had the opportunity. This is a perfect chance that might not come again.

With a quick hop and a climb she's on Toothless' back, sitting down behind Hiccup and, after a moment's hesitation, winding her arms around his waist. Despite her earlier teasing, she's actually kind of excited now.]

Why are you talking so formally, anyway? It's weird.

[OH, BE STILL HIS HEART. Her arms are around him. He starts buckling himself in to make sure they're secure.]

Why should I not? I am Hiccup the Valiant, after all. As a man of noble birth, I should speak as such. It is a part of who I am.

[Plus, he remembers how he used to speak. Always tripping over words and getting ahead of himself. Not swoon-worthy at all.]

Alright, milady, are you ready to fly?

[Her arms tighten a little instinctively, bracing herself. While she's never flown before, she can imagine what it's like, a little, and the last thing she wants to do is fall off.

She might break her automail, after all.]

Excellent. And away we go!

[He kicks his pegleg into gear and Toothless takes off into the air, wind rushing by them as they ascend. THIS IS GOING TO BE SO ROMANTIC.]

[She'd never admit it, but Ed actually has to bite her lip to avoid letting loose a shriek at the sudden lurching as they rocket into the sky. She hadn't expected it to be so fast. Toothless is so big and kind of... lumbering. Comparatively, anyway.

She's had to ride in speeding cars through the city, horses, even on the roofs of moving trains.

Nothing compares.]

[Once they're elevated, Hiccup shifts gears again and Toothless takes off above the treetops, towards the mountains and arcing toward the clouds.

Just wait until the spin moves, Ed.]

Nod bad, eh? We love it up here. The wind, the sight, the speed--it's the best feeling in the world.

[Aside from having a fair maiden holding onto you during it, of course.]

I can definitely see the appeal! [She's laughing now, feeling a little breathless with the wind blowing in her face, but she's having fun anyway. If she wasn't so worried about the wind dragging her off she'd let go and put her arms up.] What else can you do?

[Hiccup smirks and pats Toothless on the neck.]

What do you say we show her a few things, eh?

[Toothless roars in response, before Hiccup shifts gears again and they DO A BARREL ROLL.]

[Her response is a shriek in his ear - though it's laced with laughter, more out of delight than of fear - and her arms tighten around his waist again. It's quite the adrenaline rush, that's for sure, and after a moment of cautious huddling she peers curiously off to the side, getting a better look at the view below.

...Damn. That's intense.]

[Toothless hooks up towards the sky, heading through the clouds with another roar.]

Hold on tight! We're going through the clouds.

[She doesn't hesitate to do just that; this is way too much fun to risk falling off, and she's never been up this high. It doesn't stop her from enjoying the view, though.]

Let's go as high as we can! This is amazing!

You heard the lady, eh, Toothless?

[Grinning, Hiccup guides Toothless even higher into the sky until they're through the clouds, before the dragon evens out and skims along their top. Hiccup isn't exactly sure how much farther the barrier is, but he'd rather not find out by smacking into it with a pretty girl on his dragon.]

[Once they've evened out, Ed finally gives in to her initial itch to release Hiccup, holding onto Toothless with her knees, and lift her hands up to let the wind blow freely through her fingers. She can only feel it on the one arm, of course, but the sensation of holding onto nothing, of being free and floating in the open sky, goes beyond the physical sensation.

Amazing. This is just amazing.

Yeah, she's laughing now. Good job, Hiccup, you've won yourself a new fan.]

[Oh, he couldn't ask for more than such a fair maiden to be his fan.]

Is there anywhere you would like to see, milady? Anywhere you want to go, just say the word. [He can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid.]

[Well, she'd accept just seeing a good chunk of the enclosure, especially from this viewpoint. It's just too great an opportunity to resist.]

How about the ocean? I've never seen it from this high up before!

[But when he was saying 'as you wish', what he really meant was...well, you get the picture.

Toothless banks back below the clouds. They're over the mountain tops now.]

[Oh, wow. Wow, wow, wow. The view of the water in the distance from up high is absolutely breathtaking.]

...Okay, it's official: I love flying!

[Aaaw yeah. She loves flying. One step away from loving him.]

Toothless, what do you say we take the lady a little closer to the water?

[Toothless nods as they hook low, sweeping towards the ocean.]

Hey, I'm game- as long as we're not diving in or something!

[Alas, but she only has a few days to enjoy this new fascination with the sky. And it's weird to be called a lady, but hell if she's going to complain. It's better than getting called a tomboy all the time. Or, heck, not even being acknowledged as a girl. It's not like her name is feminine enough for her gender to be assumed, after all.]

Do not fear--no diving.

[Though as they fly over the surface of the water, Toothless does dip the edge of his claws in, creating a nice jet spray behind them.]

[Oh, what the hell. She puts her hands back in the air, letting the spray catch whatever part of her it can. Feels good on a hot day, that's for sure.]

[This is going so well. Top notch work, Toothless. He owes you a barrel of fish later.]

Oh, I'll bet you are. [She smirks a bit, but her glee is still genuine.] So what kind of payback are you after, then? You trying to seduce the local ladies with this?

[A devious grin.] Madame, I wouldn't dream of revealing my secrets to you! It is simply the magic and mystery of Hiccup the Valiant that is winning you over.
