Beach Volleyball Tournament

What: Volleyball Tournament
When: July 22nd, 11am onward!
Where: The Beach!
Summary: Fun in the sun and a bit of competitive spirit! If you signed up for the volleyball tournament, be prepared to rock the house down against the opposing teams! Just there to watch? Enjoy the seats around the volleyball courts as a spectator and have a refreshing drink or some beach-side snacks! SWIMSUIT REQUIRED for everyone there. If you're found by someone in charge without one you may or may not be subject to getting mysteriously kidnapped and put in one, human or not. That's right, even chihuahuas if there are any have to at least have a cool straw hat and sunglasses.
Rating: PG-13. Please try to keep it PG-13 max and warn in the subject header for anything iffy!
When you first arrive, there will be a huge board with the brackets for the tournament on it:



{{ ooc: All of the brackets were totally randomized using RNG on random.org. Unfortunately, I don't have all of the muns memorized so if I put your character against another one of your character, PLEASE let me now ASAP and we can get that fixed! If there are no replies to a match within one week, that team will be disqualified as having not showed up, just so that we can keep going. After the first week, it will be 3 days. (The first week is to account for Otakon, since I know a lot of people are going to that.) }}

After you pass the sign, there are multiple volleyball courts set up, ref towers, lots of beach umbrellas and towels set out on the sand for viewers, and waiters and waitresses handing out drinks to anyone who comes by, courtesy of the local bars. Alcohol will only be available to those who are 18+. It's hot, too, so make sure you don't forget sunscreen!

So do me and Ikki. This volleyball sport is pretty tame compared to what we play back in our world.

Which sport is that?

Kuai ball. A Fire Nation sport. It's similar, but you play with your feet too. So it gets pretty intense.

I know what Kuai Ball is, Asami told me. I hope you don't get too carried away and accidentally use your feet and get a foul. That'd be embarrassing to lose that way!

And this was one of your 'afterlife' competitions, huh?

No, we were just playing volleyball to make sure that we could increase our team work and the boys didn't get out of shape. We've played tennis and baseball too. I go running every morning, even here.

Well, you do seem to be in shape. But is it even possible for you to gain or lose weight while you're dead?

[magentarific]

Sure. Our bodies work just like normal, the only difference is if we starve ourselves for a week, when we eat it'll start to recover right away. If you do it in a way where the body doesn't recognize it as malnourishment or injury, it'll stick.

Too hot means it was the perfect day to go to the beach though. You could be back in the town and not by the sea breeze.

Or I could be in the water, not playing volleyball. Which is pretty tempting.

Oddly, we have all day so you could probably manage both. But if you want to forfeit to go get wet I won't stop you.
