Beach Volleyball Tournament

What: Volleyball Tournament
When: July 22nd, 11am onward!
Where: The Beach!
Summary: Fun in the sun and a bit of competitive spirit! If you signed up for the volleyball tournament, be prepared to rock the house down against the opposing teams! Just there to watch? Enjoy the seats around the volleyball courts as a spectator and have a refreshing drink or some beach-side snacks! SWIMSUIT REQUIRED for everyone there. If you're found by someone in charge without one you may or may not be subject to getting mysteriously kidnapped and put in one, human or not. That's right, even chihuahuas if there are any have to at least have a cool straw hat and sunglasses.
Rating: PG-13. Please try to keep it PG-13 max and warn in the subject header for anything iffy!
When you first arrive, there will be a huge board with the brackets for the tournament on it:



{{ ooc: All of the brackets were totally randomized using RNG on random.org. Unfortunately, I don't have all of the muns memorized so if I put your character against another one of your character, PLEASE let me now ASAP and we can get that fixed! If there are no replies to a match within one week, that team will be disqualified as having not showed up, just so that we can keep going. After the first week, it will be 3 days. (The first week is to account for Otakon, since I know a lot of people are going to that.) }}

After you pass the sign, there are multiple volleyball courts set up, ref towers, lots of beach umbrellas and towels set out on the sand for viewers, and waiters and waitresses handing out drinks to anyone who comes by, courtesy of the local bars. Alcohol will only be available to those who are 18+. It's hot, too, so make sure you don't forget sunscreen!

[She protects her face this time, trying to figure out what to do. So, she splashes him back. Then feels guilty.]

I am so sorry!

You're not supposed to apologize!

[Here, have a larger splash.]

But, I- [Ah! Splashed again! So she splashes again.] Ling! [Was that a... giggle? She just... giggled. WEIRD!]

[Even that manages to surprise him. He's not sure he's heard that since... well, they were little kids. He splashes her back again.]

You'll need to do better than that.

[It has been awhile since they've done anything like this.

But she happily splashes him back. Using her automail to help out some.]

[He can barely remember it. Not since they were very, very small. But he stops splashing her for a brief reprieve.]

It's good to see you smile again.

[She stops and stares at him in shock for a moment before smiling again.]

It's been awhile since we've done anything like this. [She isn't going to say that she smiles whenever he's happy though, even though it's true.]

[She's not sure if she can say this, but she's going to test the grounds some.]

[Wow, he actually looks stunned for a moment. Ran Fan? Giving him lip? This is new. Very new.]

Are you saying you're better?

[And she regrets EVERYTHING.]

Yes? Maybe? I'm sorry. [Never doing that again! It was a stupid, stupid idea. Can she go die now?]

Well, if you're going to talk like that... [He starts to back up.] I'm going to have to prove you wrong.

[Wait... he's actually going along with it. No death! She can't help but smile.]

[It's shallow enough here he doesn't worry about the depth. He can swim underwater, just not tread water. So he immediately dives under the water. Working his way around her.

Someone will be grabbing her legs from behind.]

[That's surprising.

She tries to break free of his grip.]

Ling!

[avaricious]

[Nice try, but he's going to resurface and when he does, he's going to try and loop an arm under her knees and head, so he can carry her out of the water.]

[oftheyin]

What are you-? [She gasps as she lifted up, wrapping her arms around him and clinging to him.]

[avaricious]

[He emerges from the water with a huge grin. Holding onto her tightly.]

You don't seem that much better now.

[oftheyin]

[GRRR!

She let's go of him though and looks very conflicted in his arms.]

I do not wish to hurt you though. [GDI! He's always going to win because he'll always be her prince no matter what.]

Well, you're not in much of a position to hurt me, are you?

[Hmm. Hmm. What shall he do with her?]

Well... [She hates doing this, but they did do it when they were kids. So... she elbows him in the chest, just hard enough to shock him into letting her go.

SORRY LING!]

Oof! [Well. She's getting dropped. He certainly didn't expect that! It's a good thing her spiked automail arm wasn't the one against him.]
