[She follows, picking her way a bit more carefully due to being barefoot.]

[Sokka looks warily up at the sky.]

... or anything else that might find us tasty.

[At least it's not too hard to get to the door. And when they do, Sokka will hold out his hand for her to take. No getting separated.]

[She takes his hand.]

All right, let's do this.

[Inside they go! INTO A WORLD OF NORMAL SIZED THINGS.

... or not. The door shuts behind them and there's the distinct sound of it LOCKING. They're inside a dark room. With no light of any kind. Sokka conjures up some Hyt magic to illuminate what looks like a cave of some kind. Another door on the far side. Also locked. Other stuff as well, but he's not focused on that.]

Okay. Our luck keeps getting worse.

[Katara drops his hand and makes her way over to the wall, banging on it with her knuckles. The sting of thick metal greets her.]

It's metal. Cutting our way out with just what I have in the waterskin would take hours.

[She glanced over at him.]

Now what?

Well I know Toph didn't make this thing out of metal. [Or. He assumes anyway. It's possible his sword could cut through it, but...]

There's another door ahead. We just have to figure out how to open it.

[There's unlit torches sitting here, so Sokka is going to light them up and hand one to Katara to hold. Constantly using filial magic is a sure fire way to exhaust him.]

I'm pretty sure she didn't include a small room and torches either.

[She said, taking the torch and moving to examine the other door.]

So this is some Malnosso thing. The door locked when we came in, right? So it must've been a pressure plate. So this place is probably rigged with a mechanism to open the door. Or at least the other one. We just need to find it.

[As he walks along the room, he notices a small pool of water to the right of the door. He walks around to the other side and notices a space similar to that one, but empty. Hmmm.]

[She examines the door and even runs a hand against the metal there. Hmm.]

I don't see a locking mechanism here.

[markofthewise]

It must be integrated in the wall. Check this out. [He'll point out the empty space.]

I think it's a puzzle. The pit over there is filled with water. But this one isn't. [Are you thinking what he's thinking?]

I can take care of that.

[Though she's going to draw out all the atmosphere in the room first, so as to not waste what's in her waterskin. It should leave the pit about halfway filled when she's done. She removes the necessary water from her waterskin and hesitates before bending it in.]

Though if this just makes the ceiling fall down on us, I'm so going to kick you in a week.

[He was just going to suggest she transfer the water from one to the other. Use the resources handy and all. But maybe this will work too.]

Fair enough. Just bend the water!

[And her natural thought was that they had to create a balance - in the end, he might be right!

So she just bends the water.]

[And... there's definitely the sound of something moving in the wall. But the door doesn't come open.]

I think that undid the latch on this side. But maybe you have to empty the other pit for it to open.

Got it.

[And she bends the water from the other pit out, stuffing what she can of it into her waterskin.]

[The door slides open and Sokka gains a mile wide grin.]

I'm a genius. Now we just walk through that door and we get teleported back to a world of normal sizes.

I'm pretty sure you said that last time.

[But seeing as they have no other choice, Katara holds out her hand again.]

[markofthewise]

[Hand in hand! They go through. And. And. And.

It's another room like the one before. Just bigger and somehow more mysterious. With the sounds of something creepy and crawling in the ceiling.]

... my victories keep feeling progressively more hollow. Just like my giant stone head.

[Katara just holds her torch higher.]

Do you hear that?

[It's creepy. So she should probably let go of his hand but. It's creepy.]

Yeah. [He's not exactly letting go either. He's concerned. They're tiny and who the hell knows what's in here?] It's in the ceiling... Somewhere.

[But. He can't see it. It must be above them. Which somehow makes it worse.]

[This is seriously creepy.]

Do you see another door?

[markofthewise]

No. It's too dark in here. [And these torches aren't carrying enough light. Ugh, if only he'd brought a flashlight.] I guess we'll uh. Need to check the other side.

[...walk across the open space with that creepy sound above them? She thinks not.]

Let's stick to the walls.

... that seems wise. Let's.

[He'll lead on, to the right. Because the mechanism was on the wall last time, right? So they should check for that kind of stuff.]

[This is the point where Katara makes herself drop his hand, because if they get attacked by... anythikng... they both need to be ready. She shifts the torch into her less dominant hand, and as she does, catches a glimpse of a freaky shadow, which quickly disappears in the scuffling.]
