Who: Katie McCoy and her victims of choice.
What: Rapture, ravaging, and 'rithmetic. (Ow.)
When: Any time between 23rd September and 31st October.
Where: Any place.
Summary: Triggered by recent events, Katie's darker, more primal soul is in control and intent on sharing the love. Or the hate. Depends on your definition, really.
Rating: ...I honestly don't know. Let's make it a high PG just in case?
[First there came the wraith child,
Hands and silver hair,
Then there came the dark place,
All the hurt laid bare,
Now the soul is broken,
Torn beyond a care,
Shining now among you...
...I see you there.]

"Then consider me convinced."

She smiled.
"So brownies win. Any other favorite desserts?"

It didn't take them long to reach the cozy building. It was a bit surprising not to see Peeta standing behind the counter. The other painter was reserved, for all that he was friendly, but he'd become a familiar figure on the days she'd slipped inside. But everyone needed days off, and it doesn't take long to get two large brownies and to paper cups of hot apple cider to go.

Passing one of the cups to Katie, she smiled. "Apple cider just feels like fall to me. It's like the season can't really change for me until I've had some."
She grinned. "I guess that would mean I could keep it summer forever, if I just wouldn't drink it. But I like all the seasons too much to play favorites."

If someone offered to make it summer all the time for you, would you accept?"

And what about the people who like winter? That wouldn't be fair to them at all."

Jilly set an easy pace back towards her studio...Geordie's apartment, now. There was no rush, and it wasn't far enough to create one.

"I know Geordie was going to the store, but you have to meet him if he's come back. He's sharing my studio, now."

Does this change things?
Not if he doesn't come home in time.

It just shouldn't be.
She wove her way up the stairs, leading the way up to her studio.

She smiled. "It is. I set it off to the side for you, in case you ever wanted to finish it."
The door isn't locked when she reaches it. Geordie doesn't really have any belongings in the apartment, and she's never been very good about locking up her place. After all....who would steal anything? And why, in a place where everything is free?

But she doesn't sound put-out by the suggestion. Even before Luceti, Jilly had been a go-with-the-flow type of person. Always busy. Always bustling. But she'd be as likely to derail her plans for impromptu friend time as she was to follow a tight schedule, so long as no one was getting let down in the process.
