Summary: Triggered by recent events, Katie's darker, more primal soul is in control and intent on sharing the love. Or the hate. Depends on your definition, really.

It was fun. [Exciting, certainly. Pao-Lin traces the lines of her sketch with a finger in thought.] But it was important, too.

[That gets her curiosity. Fun and important is always a plus.] What were you doing?

I was a Hero. So I had to save people and arrest criminals.

[For fame and profit, at least on the part of her sponsors.]

Oh! [She brightens.] Do you know Ko-- um. Wild Tiger? [JUST IN CASE, GOTTA KEEP THAT IDENTITY SECRET.]

Yup! He's one of my friends from home. You've met him here, then?

I've read all about him. He has his own comic where I come from.

Really? [...] Does your world have a city [or a city-state-country-something-or-other] named Sternbild, then?

It's in America, isn't it? [Superheroes are American >_>]

Do you have a superhero costume?

Yup! I even have it here in Luceti, I found it in the shops last Halloween. I haven't really gotten a chance to wear it since then, though...

Halloween is coming up again. Perhaps you could wear it then.

Yeah, I could! Last year I handed out candy while I was in costume. That was fun!

What's your costume like?

Well, it's red, yellow, and green, and it has a dragon on it. And I have to wear a headpiece that shows off my sponsor logos. [She is the best at describing things.]

You have a dragon costume! [She smiles brightly.] That's the best kind. What's a sponsor logo?

[Oh. She's never had to explain what a sponsor logo is.]

Sponsor logos are the logos for the companies that sponsor me for being a Hero! [Obvs.] They're really important to have, because that's partly how I get paid. [More or less ~~or so I'm assuming~~.]

You get paid for being a Hero? Don't you do it just to be a Hero?

Of course I do! Me and the other Heroes save people because we want to! [Well, they do now.] But it's our job, too, so that's why we get paid.

Oooh. [She considers that. Getting money for it kind of feels like selling out. Buuut. It's not that different from being a policewoman, is it?]

I suppose you need the extra money for drycleaning.

[She laughs.]

I guess! Natasha takes care of that for me, but I think my company pays for it in the end.

Who's Natasha? Is she your butler?

Nah! [Though that thought is kind of funny. Especially since Pao-Lin's only vaguely aware of what a butler actually is and what their job is.] She's my caretaker. I live with her because my parents couldn't move to Sternbild with me.

[...she's starting to have second thoughts, you know. You seem like a pretty nice person. And lonely-ish, too.]
