Summary: Masaomi asked Katara out. She said yes after the draft. He gave her some time to settle, and then offered a time for it to happen - she accepted,and here we are.

[Aaaand here. We. Go. He considered just wearing that same suit, but that might have been a tired thing. He could have put on something the Prince would wear -- he even considered it -- but thought better of it. In the end, the settled for something like this, but with less obnoxious socks and the dress pants from the suit instead of Jeans. He still thinks he looks nice, but now he doesn't look overly nice! Or demanding!

Man he's confident but it's possible he under-dressed. Oh Well. Knock, one arm behind his back]

[She said primly, sticking her nose up slightly in the air for good measure and starting to continue alone down the path. Her smile has yet to completely fade, however.]

[And he reigns in himself. He laughs and takes two long steps closer now, getting in pace with her]

Of course, you would never be so duplicitous as that.

[Airily:] Of course not.

[Irreverently:] Of course, I would be like that.

[She slants him a glance.]

You'd be like what?

Just a little deceitful. It's paaaart of my charm, don't you think? [Now in pace, he turns to shuffle sideways so he can look at her with an overly dramatic pose to show off his Roguish good looks]

[If she thought, for a moment, that Masaomi would ever try to deceive her, Katara's response would have been very different. But instead, she just paused, dropped her gaze to give him a quick up-and-down glance, and started walking again.]

No, not really.

Awww man, I think that's about sixty percent of my talents right there.

[In mock despair]

Poetry, and my dashing good looks. [A pause. A distinct and dramatic one, before he then makes a running leap onto a bench or a tree or something, to perform some FreeRunning stuff to get to a vantage point and balance]

[Katara watched as Masaomi ran off to go do his thing.]

...well. That is pretty impressive.

[And he leaps back down, landing on his feet with a thud and standing from it]

[She applauds politely, humoring him.]

Of course, I'm pretty sure you could manage that one too.

[But he bows anyway, getting back in side for her towards the Rec Center]

Probably. [She agrees easily enough, smiling at him.] But that just means I know what it takes.

Not even an ounce of denial. Katara, you never cease to amaze.

[And he shakes his head, dramatically]

[She shrugged.]

Why would I deny something like that? We both have a good idea of what each other can do.

[Honestly, what did he expect from her? She'd worked very hard to become as competent as she was, and was constantly pushing herself to be better. She knew who she was. Why then, did that seem like it was supposed to sting?]

I think the fact you say that, you genuinely believe that, and you don't even fathom the contrary, is one of the many reasons you're as appealing as you are. [and he turns now, to walk backwards again]

I'm just waxing the poetic for your praises now, if you'll excuse me a bit of indulgence.
