EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

Rating: P for Points! (Keep it PGish, folks. Anything worthy of a higher rating can be brought to your appointments posts.)

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

Great idea, Ikki! We can be like the Pokedex takers! [He blinks.] This guy's not a Pokemon, right?

[breezing]

[ She's pretty sure he isn't, but watch Ikki slide her pokedex out of her pocket, aiming it in that direction.

...Yep, nothing registers. Away it goes. ] Nope! No data, not even a "no data" entry.

Day 2!

Then it really must be some kinda new animal! [He starts to release his hold on her hand, but then he opts to cup her hand between both of his as he starts to pull away.] Now stay right here, okay? I'm gonna make sure it's safe and then I'll say if you can come near!

[breezing]

Okay! I won't move an inch. [ Unless something comes careening her way, anyway. ]

Day 2!

Good girl. I knew I could count on you. [He smiles and takes a moment to squeeze her hand before he releases her and heads over to the mastodon. It seems very... non-reactionary to his presence. Aang manages to hop his way up to its back without incident and starts to check around.]

[breezing]

[ Aang is the best about making animal friends. Ikki's pretty impatient about going over there herself, but she's keeping to her promise... ]

[And after a few moments, Aang will give an airbending whistle towards Ikki's direction. Come on over, the fur's fine!]

[breezing]

[ And that's all she needs to come running over - she doesn't even pause when she gets there, instead spinning on the spot and giving herself an airbending boost onto the mammoth's back. ] It's so fluffy!!!!

[Aang looks at her with a grin, feeling the fur in his hands. The mammoth really doesn't seem to mind the extra passengers... likely due to limited awareness.]

I know, right? I'm so glad we discovered him!

[breezing]

[ Good thing, too, because Soren will be landing on the Mammoth behind Ikki, pleased as punch to score a free ride. ]

What should we name him??

I was about to ask you that, silly! We can make it about his fuzziness, about his big trunk, about how he's an elebison, or just a name that sounds good!

[breezing]

Sir Eduardo Eliphicent the third!

[He immediately ruffles her hair.]

Great one, Ikki! [He then crawls over towards the mammoth's ear.] It's nice to meet you, Sir Eduardo!

Day 2!

[breezing]

We need to find him a Lady now!

[ MATCHMAKING AHOY. ]

A-already? Are we sure Eduardo's ready for a relationship?!

Day 2!

[breezing]

Of course he is! He wants baby Eduardos!

[ GET ON THIS TRAIN OR LEAVE, AANG. ]

Wow, he's really serious about this! [He leans over to Eduardo's ear.] Hey, Eduardo! Follow your heart and lead us to the one you love!

[breezing]

[ Yes! Away, Eduardo!

Who may or may not be completely disinterested in airbenders and their shenanigans! ]

Day 2!

[And Eduardo will eventually come to a halt. Because there's a Smilodon skulking around before them.

Aang nudges Ikki and looks towards it confusion. Could this be a dangerous situation or... love at first sight?]

[breezing]

[ DEFINITELY love at first sight!!!

...Or at least not too dangerous, since Eduardo is lucky enough to have the Avatar, an airbender, and a pretty levelled up pokemon all sitting on his back. ]

Oooh! That's Lenora! [ Yep. ]

Day 2!

Lenora! [He says as if recognizing an old friend. He saunters up closer to Eduardo's ear and drapes himself casually alongside it to talk directly to him.]

C'mon, man! This is your big chance. She's not just going to lurk there forever!

Day 2!

[breezing]

She's a princess, grandpa! You have to be polite about it! [ JEEZ.

Eduardo has big mammoth dreams above his station.

Wow she misses Jinora.]

Yeah, Eduardo! Make a move!

Day 2!

How silly of me. [He raised himself just enough to manage a courtesy. Then he proceeds to scratch at Eduardo's ear.]

It's now or never, buddy. Or she's gonna go for some stuffy prince instead!

[And at Aang's inclination - or perhaps in reaction to being scratched at - Edwuardo stretches his trunk out, poking at Lenora. She immediately leaps to face him in bewildered confusion.]

[breezing]

[ Wow, a courtesy will pretty much have Ikki in stitches of laughter, even though she insisted on this.

Eduardo and Lenora: written in the stars. This is probably the first time a mammoth has ever willingly gotten this close to a mastodon, man. ]

[Lenora snarls at Eduardo some more as Aang watches.]

You got her attention. Now let her now how you feel!

[He nudged at Eduardo's ear, and the trunk reached forward again. This time, it stroked along the Smilodon's back. Lenora then seemed oddly... less tense.]
