Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

It's an activity highly regarded in Heaven. Go was created by another god, and we play it regularly.

[Out loud this time, and not entirely managing to hide his skepticism:] Really?

[She gives Donatello a look]

Do you not believe what I am?

[Realizing his gaffe, Don coughs awkwardly and bows his head.]

I'm sorry. That was out of line.

You were. But if you're truly skeptical...I can demonstrate.

[Her tone remains a little hard, but her face softens a bit, she's not angry at all]

I wouldn't mind a demonstration. But - because I like demonstrations. Not because you need to prove anything to me.

Very well.

[She waves her hand, and in front of Donatello, a cloud appears out of thin air]

How's that?

[Don leans to one side and then the other, examining this cloud that has just appeared over the game board. It looks very unnatural.]

Impressive.

It's...a small thing.

[And as she says it, the cloud floats up over his head and starts to rain. Without so much as a drop touching Don]

[That's so bizarre, he can't help flinching at not being rained on. It's fascinating to look at, though.]

[It dances around bobbing and weaving, a tiny bolt of lightning popping out of it here and there]

This is just playing, of course.

Of course.

[Seriously, though, that lightning is making him a little nervous.]

[And as suddenly as it started, the cloud disappears]

I believe it's your move. [She smiles widely]

Ah, yes. [He refocuses on the game, considers a moment, and plays a stone to capture a small number of Saori's pieces.]

[She smiles and sets another stone, starting an archaic trap that Don may not recognize and taking a few pieces in the process]

[Nope, he doesn't notice. He's too busy building a dragon on the other side of the board.]

[Another piece of the trap falls into place]

Have you been here long, Donatello?

[Saori doesn't seem to be noticing Don's strategy, so he must be playing pretty sneakily.]

Almost three years.

That's quite a while.

[She places another stone, springing the trap and taking a huge number of his stones. Sometimes the old ways work best.]

And where are you from, originally?

[Don misses the question, too busy trying to figure out how he just lost so many pieces.]

[She points out what she did]

It's an old trap I learned many years ago.

[Don stares at the board a moment longer, then pushes away his bowl of stones.]

Yame. I resign.

Are you sure? I didn't mean to play meanly.

It's fine. I probably would have missed that even if I wasn't out of practice.

[He starts cleaning up the pieces.]

If you're sure. We should play again soon, so you can get some practice.
