Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

Well you missed the part where I said I can't get hurt... [so there!!]

'Sides, it doesn't matter how big it is, it's not like I'm gonna let it catch me if it tried to attack me or something.

Look, just 'cause you don't want it to catch you doesn't mean that'll stop it. It's probably crazy fast, too.

Then that'd make the chase all the more exciting, wouldn't it?

[Crow, no]

[immamartillo]

[The statement is so horrifying that for a moment Firo can only stare.]

It's not gonna be exciting for long if you get killed!

[tomodachi]

[He rolls his eyes a little at that.] Relax, I won't get killed--I have way better things to be doing than bothering some wolf in the woods.

[Come on Firo do we really look like we're that stupid. Don't answer that.]

[immamartillo]

[He grits his teeth, fighting the urge to snap back.]

So you'll stay away? Good.

[tomodachi]

[Crow smirks at that slightly (if you keep telling him to stay away, he's only going to want to go even more) before he turns away to walk along the edge of the roof.]

I still think you're worryin' way too much over whatever it is that I do. I actually do try not to get myself killed, you know.

[well okay no not really, but he actually would run at an actual life-threatening-to-us danger if he absolutely had to...]

I'm not worryin'! I'm just givin' you advice!

[Since Firo apparently makes great life decisions and is in a position to give advice.

He scowls as Crow walks, in his opinion, too close to the edge of the roof. In order to "prove" that he's not worried, however, he keeps his mouth shut about that.]

From what you say, it sure as hell doesn't sound like you try to keep yourself safe.

[tomodachi]

[He's getting a little frustrated again.] Look, I don't do things that aren't worth doing and I don't fight people like everyone else likes to do here, what more do you wa--whoa!

His foot suddenly slips when he's turned to look at Firo, and suddenly he disappears over the edge of the roof. There's a "thump" sound of something hitting the ground--by the time Firo is able to come and look without falling off the roof himself, though, it looks like Crow will have sat back up again and is dusting snow off of his arms, swearing a little under his breath.]

[immamartillo]

[Firo's mouth is open to fire back at Crow when he falls from the roof.]

Holy-!

[He peeks over the edge and considers jumping off after Crow before dismissing that as a ridiculous idea. He searches frantically for something to break his fall, but eventually retraces their route to the ground. This time, he does it with much less caution. Crow could be hurt and it'll be all his fault...]

A-are you-?

[He slows when he sees Crow dusting himself off. For such a fall, the kid doesn't seem to be in bad shape.]

[tomodachi]

[Crow freezes slightly upon hearing Firo approaching, but then he's quick to stand, dusting the snow off his pants now too.]

Yeah, yeah, I'm fine--I'd be even better if you hadn't broken my concentration and caused me to fall off the roof...

[Because that's totally mature, blaming Firo for his easily distracted nature. But yes, otherwise Crow appears to be perfectly fine, if not with a slightly bruised ego. No broken bones...hell, he doesn't even seem to have a scratch on him from falling off...]

[immamartillo]

[Firo's so relieved to see Crow in one piece that he doesn't take offense to being accused.]

I'm... I'm sorry.

[He takes another look at Crow, more carefully now that he's not panicking.]

You're sure you're okay? That was pretty high up, you couldn't have fallen without gettin' hurt somehow.

[tomodachi]

I told you before, didn't I? I can't get hurt.

[Lucky for him he didn't land directly on the wings though, those could have actually hurt him, but otherwise he's not feeling any pain right now as Crow stretches his arms a little above his head, feeling them strain a little but otherwise he can't sense any damage done to them from the fall...]

[immamartillo]

Yeah, but I thought you were just bein' stupid about it. You're really okay... How'd you do that?

[tomodachi]

[You get glared at for that "stupid" insult momentarily. He'd tell you, but...to be honest, he doesn't really trust that information with anyone; hell, Seto found out only because we accidentally let slip about it the last time we saw him in our world...but Seto is our best friend and we trust him with most things now.

Firo...well he doesn't get the feeling that Firo is someone he couldn't trust with that secret, but you still annoy us a little so it's more tempting to be annoyingly vague in return.]

I'm just special, that's all. [Which technically is true!]

[immamartillo]

"Special," yeah right. I'll give you "weird."

[The parallels to a friend of his seem so clear to Firo that he assumes Crow must be very lucky or very skilled at this kind of thing. The kid did say he walks on roofs all the time; he must have become accustomed to falls.]

[tomodachi]

[Wow it's not weird Firo. He folds his arms a bit smugly.]

Well maybe you're just jealous.

[immamartillo]

Jealous? Of what? I told you, I'm not dumb enough to make a habit of walkin' around on roofs.

[Except now that he's tried it he totally wants to do it again.]

[tomodachi]

[Pffthahaha]

Says the guy who was walkin' around on the roof with me just a minute ago. [And don't lie Firo we know you had fun. XD]

[immamartillo]

That was-!

[He growls and puts his hands on his hips.]

I-I told you, I was lookin' after you! That's the only reason!

[tomodachi]

Right...

[But Crow is still laughing at you about it Firo, you can't fool us!]

[immamartillo]

Oh, come on...

[He slouches to hide his embarrassed blush.]

So, um, anyway, where were you goin' when you ran into me? Anything important?

[tomodachi]

[He looks thoughtful for a second, but then he shrugs--he's actually kind of forgotten what he was doing before he got distracted hanging out with you.]

Not really, just looking around--there's a lot of new strange plants that have been hung up in different places, have you seen them?

[He's talking about the mistletoe that people have been getting caught under...]

[immamartillo]

Strange plants?

[The trees that surround the town are more than enough plants for Firo, so he's sure he would have noticed if even more sprang up. He's thinking of strange, exotic plants, so it takes him a moment to realize what Crow's talking about.]

You mean the mistletoe? I've seen a few around here. Weird, isn't it?

[tomodachi]

[Yeah, it kind of is. Also for some reason people keep getting stuck under them from what we've noticed while wandering around.]

Is that another thing that happens around "Christmas" or something? Weird plants like that suddenly showing up?
