Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[He just smiles a little more.]

Why? Just be honest and explain it's for a friend of yours and they don't drink much. If you want, you can order a drink for yourself so they know you can handle your liquor, yeah?

[He sighs and slouches more.]

You don't understand! They'd never believe that!

[He folds his arms over his chest, pouting slightly.]

...I'd hafta order a lot of drinks to make up for that.

[He scratches his head as he thinks through all his friends in Luceti.]

...Nobody comes to mind right away, but I'll find someone.

Do you know anything about it? You live with him, you must see what he likes.

I don't drink tea unless he offers or invites me to, but you're right. I can get you the name of the one he drinks the most, how's that?

[He laughs, rubbing the back of his neck, slightly embarrassed.]

[Firo practically glows with pride to hear that. They're in the same Family, so counting on each other is nothing new; Firo just likes to hear it said out loud.

He whips his face away from Maiza so he can't see the dorky grin it's currently displaying.]

I'm glad to hear that. Havin' friends makes this place bearable.

[If he thinks about it, he's very lucky he made a couple friends so quickly, and even more lucky that two from home have shown up.]

Friends make almost anything bearable. I can't say... ah, well, I can definitely say I wouldn't be feeling this at east with myself if I didn't have you all.

I bet the others feel the same way about you.

[He can't speak for them, but from his conversations with Czes and the others, they seem to hold Maiza in high esteem. And who wouldn't?]

If we're bein' honest, I gotta say I definitely feel a lot better now that you're around. And I don't know if I even woulda' lasted at first if I didn't have Seto.

[Aww, Maiza. It makes Firo swell with happiness to see him smile like that. He responds with a teasing grin of his own. They can't be getting too mushy, can they? People will think they've gone soft!]

I was definitely relieved to realize you were here too, when I first got here. I think I would've been able to manage but it's been a while since I was without friends.

[His smile fades as he thinks about the times Maiza would have been alone. It's probably unavoidable in a life like his.]

If I can do anything about it, you won't have to go without friends anytime soon.

[Firo knows he has little control over his fate in Luceti and it pains him that he can't swear that he'll definitely never leave Maiza.]

[He'll find out eventually that Ronnie stuck to him like glue thanks to Elmer, but Maiza just smiles and reaches over with his left hand to ruffle Firo's hair.]
