It is most strange that she never considered Loki to be so attractive before. She had always thought the boy most annoying, someone she wanted often to pummel as to stop his continuous and ridiculous rambles. She had thought him thought and scrawny, possessing a body not at all like Daimon's.

But now? With his bringing of her dress and offer of shaken milk, she's seeing him in an all new light. His green eyes are rather piercing. How has she not noticed it before? And his smile: so very charming.

"I can think of nothing better." Another smile. "Do you need any assistance?"

[He frowns, looking pained, and raises one hand to shake it.]

Don't lump me in with those guys. I've already handled it.

That seems like a stretch to me, but two sets of eyes are better then one. What are you looking for?

[He recovers quickly enough this time. Whether or not Jane does is another story, but he's still quick enough to try and catch her. That is, if she needs it!]

"I can see you! And hear you! So. I hope you're happy. We're probably already in love."

Sokka threw his hands in the air and paced away. He shook his head. "When we're making out on the couch in five minutes, don't go blaming me. I tried to stop it."

[Oh, is Haruhi here? She's kinda short and outside of his field of vision. So he sort of assumes she's gone now and starts walking again. Right into her.]

[He causes her to trip back and nearly lose her footing. She whines, taking a step back and yelping-] Oh come on! [And she puts the map right in front of his face. Between the two cardboard sides with one hand, while the other pokes him in the chest]

I'm looking for a spellbook. I'm not sure exactly what sort I'll need, but anything about glamour or color theory would be helpful, I think.

[And she waves at the shelves, turning back to them herself]

But she picks up her chopsticks and grabs up a dumpling, neatly dipping it and taking a bite. The warm, savory flavor makes her smile, and she somehow manages to keep any juice from trickling down her lips.

[Sokka snatches the map. Then looks down at her. And then panics and looks away again. Oh no, he saw her eyes. Is he in love with her?

He's not sure.]

What are you trying to do?

That's good to hear. I would hate to hear of you running into any trouble because of something that I could have easily helped with.

[She takes the seat across from his.] That said, if there is any way at all I can make things more comfortable for you - warmer weather, a few inches less of snow - please, do not hesitate to ask. I would be happy to help.

[She's only shouting a little as she shakes her head and waves a hand now that he's got it in hand. Good man. Finally. Ugh]

A spellbook on color theory? I'll.. keep an eye out, then.

[That had been bothering him, just a bit. That a symbology text was in with all sorts of more arcane looking texts that referred to paranormal effects as 'magic'... it didn't really fit with what he knew. Yeah, Symbology might seem fantastical, he supposed, to people who didn't know much about it, but it was a science.

Still, he might as well help. It wasn't any problem for him, he had all the time he needed to read up later. He sets the book on Symbology he was reading down, turning to the shelves himself to look over what was available.]

[Logan looked down at his glass, then blearily at a clock hanging on the wall.]

What time is it? [It looks like... eight-ish. Maybe.]

Brick walls? [She looks at him with some surprise.]

And you do that, often?

It's eleven. I'll take that to mean quite a bit. [Her voice is a little wry but there's a hint of concern in her gaze too.]

Had enough?

"I confess that none of those things evoke much for me. But I shall try it, if you insist." At the very least, he'd stepped onto the beach when people were enjoying those sorts of things. He'd thought little of it at the time. But perhaps it was simply his fault for not getting close to the action.

Yeah, or transformation, glamour... I'm sure I'm going to need to research for it, but I might as well.

[This one-- looks like it's not from either Buffy or Helios's world. She sets it sideways on the shelf, but doesn't pick it up for the table]

[Ganondorf doesn't notice her until he folds his journal up and prepares to move on. At that moment, he notices he's being watched. She's certainly a lovely looking girl. Such long hair, too.

And then he scowled, as he realized where his mind was going, and averted his attention back to the library.

Accursed Shifts. He was better than this.]

He raised an eyebrow. That was an interesting half-admittance there.

"Similar in what way?"

[calmbeforethe]

She ducked her head down; admitting this was always a little bit embarrassing. "I fancied myself a goddess, once. It was a long time ago and I know better now, of course."

[markofthewise]

[He could not. But he held up the map, which he could not make heads or tails of with such a limited field of vision. So he held it back out at her.]

Thanks, but no thanks! I don't want to go to your party!

[Lirael isn't the only one who is feeling uncomfortable with this entire situation, although Shuda's dislike of this whole experiment comes for a different reason. He already has someone back at home, someone that he cares a great deal about, and the last thing he wants is to end up cheating on her, even if it isn't of his own volition.

So far so good, but that doesn't mean he's going to tempt fate by spending too much time in the village if he can help it. The sight of someone who seems to have had the same idea that he did earns a slight bit of a smile aimed at her.]

Let me guess: avoiding the madness back home?

[ Helios leans against Max as a light chuckle escapes him. He's certainly enjoying the closer contact, Max's warmer body temperature drifts through the barrier of Helios' long sleeved shirt and it makes him shiver inwardly. He forgot how much he missed that feeling and it makes him sigh appreciatively. ] I can say the same thing for you too then. A-A very big oversight.

I-I suppose you're about that. I never realized how much we, um, had in common. [ Helios smirks at that. ]
