You see those buildings over there? [He nodded toward the taller ones a few blocks off, where the safety net ended and the disputed territory began.]

I'm thinking that they might want to be putting detainees there. Don't you think that taking 'em down would mess up their plans?

[ She strokes her chin thoughtfully. ]

I’d say it would. And I’m all for messing up their plans.

Yep.

Problem is, I think they're shifted. No idea how.

Can't we just...try knocking them down and seeing how that goes first?

Do you want to try and see if you break a hand?

[ She sticks out her bottom lip. ]

I don't know about you, but I don't have to punch stuff to knock it down.

Yea? And here I was thinking I should'a brought a few EM explosives.

[He grinned.]

[ She nods, grinning in turn. ]

[With that he took off, fully trusting that the girl could keep up with his his skills and his pace.]

[ She took off after him, breaking into a swift run towards the buildings. ]

What do you have in mind over there?

[Curious minds wanted to know...and he wanted to know if he needed to do some crowd control for any of this.]

I can try bending the earth under the building to collapse the foundations. But it'll take some time.

[ So, yes, droid control would be useful. ]

[He wasn't sure that he heard her right.]

[precipitous]

[ Oh, right. ]

Er...earthbending. I can manipulate the earth.

[aerialassault]

Oh. Right. I knew that.

[He didn't, but he should have figured. Everyone had different words for magic, after all. 'Bending' was just the strangest one he had heard yet.]

[precipitous]

Uhuh, right, sure.

[ She sounds totally convinced. ]

[aerialassault]

[He slid to a stop as they neared the location, already checking around for signs of cultists and any hostages.]

Right.

Enough of the talkin', missie, and more of the...bending. Whatev. How does that work for ya anyway?

[precipitous]

[ Grinning, Korra stomps forward, shaking the ground when her foot lands. The ground under one corner of the building starts to crack. ]

[He burst out laughing at the oddness of these different worlds and how this strange, black hole of a planet had tossed everyone together.]

That--

That's cool! How are you--?

[He cut himself off short when he noticed the incoming enemies. It was time to get to work.]

[ Darn right it is cool. She can definitely appreciate that kind of compliment. She keeps working at collapsing the earth. ]

You got it, chief!

[That work at collapsing the earth was way more interesting than some of the Symbology that he's seen. There was no casting, no sudden unleashing of the spell, and no time wasted. It was very convenient for him, especially now.

He led in with a charge, throwing himself into the fray with his fists and his guts. This would be just like the other day with another girl he had at his back, and just as fun.

Primary objective: keep the mess off of the mage.]

[precipitous]

[ She makes quick work of one corner of the building, and it starts to creak and groan in protest. Good, it's weakening. She has to work fast, because bending on such a large scale can zap her energy rather quickly, so she moves onto the next corner without a moment's hesitation. She shouldn't need to get all of the corners collapsed - two or three should do the trick, hopefully. ]

[He'd have her back if she did drain herself, and ensure an escape if it was needed, but he trusted her skills. The grind of compromised stone brought a grin to his face as he swept through enemy after enemy, but he was only one man. There were too many of them for him to quickly clear, and a few broke off and charged.]
