Starting at midnight on the 26th, Luceti and its inhabitants will find itself the focus of the Filial spirits, usually quiet and reclusive, now stepping out to deal with one of their own.

As promised, here is some additional information to help figure out how to play around with the spirits and interacting with similarly possessed people.

First off, each spirit has a certain time or place when they are at their most powerful. Consequently, characters possessed by them will enjoy these boosts and this in itself can be a deciding factor in what would otherwise be a stalemate. Here’s a quick run down:

Sona - She’s most powerful around lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Mostly this is concentrated at the southern lake.

Kipinn - He’s most powerful in high places, like mountain tops and the roofs of community buildings.

Faeren - She’s most powerful in the farmlands alongside things that grow.

Tsinku - He’s most powerful in the village itself, where technology thrives.

Eferin - He’s most powerful in the center of the forest where his heat may cause trees to burn. In fact, the upcoming forest fire may cause some trouble if his followers get too rowdy.

Hyt - It’s most powerful during the daytime under a bright sky.

Twila - It’s most powerful during the night time.

Nala- She has no domain and is generally welcome wherever she goes.

How possessed characters will deal with other possessed characters will depend on the interactions of the spirits themselves. A useful spreadsheet sums up these relationships. Those that have a friendly attitude to one another will generally allow ‘trespassers’ into their domain, but those they are not so friendly with may cause conflict.

Finally, to elaborate on Twila-possessed characters. Those with a natural affinity for darkness are likely to be possessed first. Once they have, they can try to recruit others less-compatible candidates to ‘join the cause’. Their goal is numbers. The more who are working with Twila, the better. Once they do, they’ll be inclined to act in their own self interest and if necessary, deal with others who try to get in their way. In the long term, the spirit Twila wants to stay this way, bonded to the Lucetians as hybrids, that way it cannot be imprisoned again. Think of it as pure survival instinct of an animal that’s spent way too long in a cage.

All isn’t lost. The other spirits may not be able to cage it again, but they won’t accept Twila reacting in this manner. Though it’s hard to tell what their beef with Twila is, they have an instinctive familiarity with the dark spirit and seem to act as its jail keepers.

They have the power to free people from Twila, but given their poor communication skills, figuring that out might just be a challenge. After all, the spirits can only communicate in shades of feeling and intentions, but not actually verbalize directions or marching orders. However, there will be a Malnosso post mid-event that will give everyone, possessed or otherwise, the info they need to turn things around.

[Kushina had woken up that morning wondering why it was so difficult getting through doors and was greeted to the surprising sight of her wings nearly doubled in size and now a green instead of their bright yellow. The only thing that passed her lips (since she just woke up) was a small 'oh.'

The rest of the morning was dedicated to testing if she could actually fly.

Once she's got her fill of viewing the village high enough that most people looked like ants, and probably running into a few people on her way up, she settles on the rooftop of her home like she usually does. To people that pass by, she'll probably wave and try and strike up conversation.

Unless you're Twila. For some reason she'll scowl and maybe throw a pebble or two at your head when you're not looking or a blast of air that will knock you over.]

[Aang swoops down towards her while she's on the roof, waving as he does.]

Hi! Your wings are the same color as mine. [It must stand for friendliness, he thinks.]

[She waves back with just as much enthusiasm, a small smile on her lips.]

Oh! Yeah. They are.

[She looks over her shoulder at them, letting them beat once, before turning back.]

They used to be yellow though.

Mine were a different color, too! [He gives an eager not, fluttering his wings with his feet still just above the surface.] Your wings're still really pretty!

[Her mouth opens to ask what color but stops.]

Ahah, well, thank you. [A sheepish rub of the back of her head. She's still unsure how to take compliments and she's even MORE unsure now because are calling wings pretty even a compliment?]

They match yours. I wonder if that means something. Maybe we're supposed to be friends.

Yes! [He makes an excited, windy hop into the air at that.] I bet these wings are about friendship! My name's Aang! I definitely wanna be your friend.

[Her grin is a bit lopsided.]

I'm Kushina. [Then she looks a bit more serious, arms folding and eyes closing.]

Okay, but there's one thing you have to do before we can really be friends.

[ Ikki actually spots Kushina while the woman is in the sky, and goes to meet her there. Not with wings, because none of the spirits took her over, but instead with her glider and airbending. She'll angle close enough that a less skilled flyer might crash, easily maneuvering with the air of long practice. ]

Kushina! You caught on super quick to this, huh?

[Maybe she's just learning to fly because she's a bit wobbly as she tries hovering, beating her wings in time to keep her from plummeting.

Kushina looks around at the sound of her name and blinks a bit at the glider she's on.]

You're...Ikki? Ikki! Why are you-- [She's in the air but without wings and Kushina feels a protective urge bubble inside her at the sight of the young girl all alone and flying. She's having FAR less trouble than Kushina is though.]

Oh! Well, yeah... it's a lot harder than it looks though. I have Gai to thank for that challenge, I've been trying to move my wings when they were smaller.

But you're not even using your wings! What is that? Is it even safe?

[ There's a burst of laughter at that, since...well, she's been flying since she was younger than she is now. But thinking of it, she's not sure she ever explained to this woman about airbending. ]

Yeah, it's safe! I don't have those wings, but I'm an airbender, y'know? Which I guess for you just think of it as having lots of wind jutsus.

[ She's getting better at explanations. ]

I'm just bending currents to keep up. It's easy peasy!

[NOPE. She just thinks Ikki has some control over wind like most of the Kipinn possessed residents, or those who have wind affinity jutsu.

She looks fine though, not even remotely scared of high they are. After a moment of watching her masterfully keep herself afloat, she smiles quickly.]

Oh, like this?

[Suddenly, a huge gust of wind blows Ikki up at least thirty feet into the air above her. Down below, Kushina's bright red hair seems to have tried to follow because it looks like fire as it whips around.

[ There's just laughter as Ikki's thrown up in the air; she doesn't seem to mind in the slightest, although she spins up above, and then snaps the glider closed to dive back down, throwing it open again once she's nearby.

Apparently mid-air stunts don't bother her in the least. ]

I guess everyone's an airbender today! But yep. That's what grandpa and I can do - we bend the air.

[She smiles a bit as she hears the laughter, waiting until Ikki is nearby again.

Then cue confused expression from Kushina.]

[Sona's influence has served to make Konan even less emotional and more logically inclined than before. It's also made her more drawn to bodies of water. In fact, although she's flying in the air, she's not far from the lake. That's where she feels the most at peace.

When she spots Kushina, she simply nods her head in greeting. She feels drawn to the other kunoichi. Their conversation had been pleasant enough when they spoke, but after Konan's conversation with Minato, she assumed Kushina likely wouldn't want to speak with her.]

[It would be a better idea to stay away and let Kushina think this through completely; what Minato had said isn't something easily forgotten. It was be so easy just to hate Konan for having a hand in killing someone she knew.

Too easy.

So it's with some surprise, even to herself, that she lands somewhere near Konan when she's decided to stay by the lake. Kushina looks defensive but unafraid and if not a little curious. It's likely that she didn't even know that she was close to Jiraiya and had been merely been trying to help a stranger. Except by the people she was with, it was easy to determine where she's from.

So she had been treated like a regular stranger, hadn't she?]

Konan. [She calls out, some distance away but closes it slowly.]

Kushina.

[All she'd known when they had their conversation before was that Kushina was Naruto's mother and the only reason she knew that much was because the three had appeared together. There were obviously traits of Kushina's that had been passed on to Naruto. The same can be said for Minato. What she hadn't known was Jiraiya's full history with their family. It doesn't change the past anyhow.]

I see your wings have grown as well.

[It's a very neutral statement, but it's as sociable as Konan can manage with Sona's calm demeanour tag teaming with her own.]

How are you enjoying flight?

[She's not really sure what she's expecting but it wasn't a simple question like that. It's a good thing Kipinn makes her less wary and more curious and after a few more steps, Kushina places herself next to Konan, by the lake.

Picking up a nearby stone, she throws it at the lake and watches it skip across and scare some birds away.]

I wish they could've waited to grow until I beat Gai at his flying challenge.

[It's easy enough to figure out Kushina would be on their rooftop. Aside from sensing her chakra, her familiar red hair he adores is very evident among the slew of plain rooftops above Luceti.

So with a gentle landing, Minato approaches her.]

You really like hanging out here, huh?

[MUCH MORE SMOOth THAN HER OWN LANDING IN OTHER THREAD. She doesn't look behind her but smiles to herself.]

More than usual.

[And she pats the spot beside her in silent invitation.]

It's nothing like the Hokage monument though. That had a really nice view.

[YES LMAO. Minato wastes no time in taking a seat on the spot she patted once he's already beside her.]

It's still a little strange seeing my face everyday like that, though.

What, you mean you didn't like seeing your beautiful face like everyone else?

[She finally turns to grin at him.]

[That makes him blush a little.]

Ah, I don't think everyone else has the same opinion as you, Kushina.

[nooooooo he's so cute

If anything, her grin widens because of that blush.]

I'm pretty sure they do. Every girl at Konoha made eyes at you at some point.

It was hard to keep them all away.
