What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

It'll be a year come early July. Hardly feels like it though. In some ways if feels like I've been here a decade.

You just sounded a little more hostile towards him than usual. I mean I completely understand. I'm just a little surprised.

[Steve places the bat and ball back on the booth table as his latest trainee walks off to enjoy the rest of the festival. He grins when he spots Pepper and walks over to her.]

As are you, Pepper. [He shrugs and glances away.] It was sort of a last minute idea. That's why it looks so thrown together. But with Loki covering Asgard, I figured someone should focus on Earth. Or...New York specifically as is the case.

Ah, I see... you must be from Earth, then? It usually seems to be the world people are drawn in from the most.

He nods. "Yeah. I can understand that. But even if you do find them all here. What then? You'll still need a way to get back home."

He doesn't have a good answer for that so he shrugs. "I just mean that other attempts to leave have failed with some serious consequences."

"I am not worried about leaving. The sea of the soul connects to all things, and while I have not yet figured out how to return there, I do not yet have the need to."

He is being more of an ass than usual. I can only tolerate so much of it at once.

No, of course not. I would never begrudge you good company, nor would I begrudge you the return of one of your dear friends.

[She remembers, briefly, how Helios spoke of Frederic. The great Chopin. Someone he lived with before, just him and Giles and the composer. She can't let him think it was because of that.]

I remember your speaking of him before and I am glad he has returned and lives with you. I truly am. You deserve all the family in the world, Helios-

[A beat.]

All the family in the world that treats you well. A proper family, like you have ever been for me.

[Asami just smiles, either capable of acting like nothing was wrong, or really not bothered by it.]

Oh, I will! I'm sure she'll be thrilled. I'm Asami, by the way. It's nice to meet you.

[Asami is silently shocked for a moment as the other looks down at the tray. Looks down at the tray. Oh!]

No, no, I...I'm just bringing them to the food table, I...

[An embarrassed beat.]

I'm sorry. I honestly thought you were blind!

Well, we're doing it as a demonstration, so I think you can get away with saying yes. It'd be different if you were leering out in the world, probably...

[Asami has had her share of being leered at. And she just looks a tad puzzled at the axe comment.]

Seems a pity. I'm surprised no-one's started some kind of sports matches here already. You could always come and learn the intricacies of cricket. We need more than two people to play properly.

[ Tummy rubs and pettings accounted for the dragons will take the time to go gallivanting off around the booth Jack and Max have setup. Helios has a wide smile on his face as he watches briefly before he turns his attentions to Max. ]

Quite the exotic bakery, hm? I hope these don't have any of the powers latent within sidhe food, aside from being delicious. [ And he'll help himself to one a pleased noise escaping his lips as he does so. His green eyes are alight with approval and earnest delight. ]

They're wonderful Max! You should look into having them sold at the bakery. I-I mean they could always try new things after all!

He's... mostly white, with a black face, wings, and coloration. [ She wipes some tears away with a hoof. ] Wow. When I tell Celestia about him... or even Fluttershy...
