What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

Yes, I'm a Seventh Fonist. But I wouldn't put myself above anyone else. [She knows how much potential there was in her, seen it firsthand in her brother. To draw such attention to herself, however, would be defeated her family's purpose and the decision they made two thousand years prior.]

Other than my brother, I am the only other person who knows and can use them. [Soon she would be the only one.] Even though some of the hymns have offensive power, I intend to use them only to protect and comfort the people, and to help build a better future.

"Very hairy, doesn't like to be called an angry weasel? Sounds like we might have the same guy." And if so, she was very sorry, Asami. Zatanna knew just how rough he got.

"Ugh. Definitely not the type of performing I was talking about." Being dragged out for social status didn't really appeal to Zatanna. "I mean the kind where you really get to do something you love. It's high pressure, but it's also where you prove just how hard you've worked. Plus, at least with magic, it's always fun seeing people's reactions."

She shrugged a shoulder. "But it's not for everyone, so I get it. They're missing out if they don't watch you, though."

Horns, Loki. You've a helm with horns of a large and unwieldy fashion. I do not know how much room you have to talk when it comes to odd headgear.

Oh, he was absolutely trustworthy. Zatanna could tell.

"Gambling with shells. Does that mean I need to make a trip to the beach if I want to play?"

From all over? So benders and non-benders of all types? All living peacefully in one city?

[Wait, these are spoilers. He shouldn't be hearing this.

And yet hearing it still makes him really happy.]

"So they're like a super bender?" Zatanna thought she was starting to get her mind around how Suki's world worked. "Wow...that sounds pretty legendary. We've got some really strong guys where I'm from, but I don't know if they could move an entire land mass like that."

[There's a shrug of his shoulders at that comment. He's really not sure as to what to feel. While he knows part of his world is interesting the sad fact is he doesn't have much knowledge about it other than "magic".]
I suppose not. I just didn't think I had anything to offer that someone else already added. Maybe next year I'll set up a booth....I just need to figure out a topic or something.

Ohhh, I get where you're comin' from now. That sounds like a blast! I think?

[Mead must be some serious stuff if it eats straws up. Her mind almost starts wandering off to ideas of heavy duty straws that can withstand any sort of drink they're put in, but she stays focused!]

Maybe the next time I go grab a drink from Good Spirits I'll try this whole quaffing thing out. I won't try it with water or just any old drink though, promise!

[It seems to have slipped her mind that she could just try what's here right now instead of going off and drinking later.]

It's just the four elements. Air, fire, earth and water. There are specialties too, like metal benders and lightning benders but they are still under the main four.

[She raises an eyebrow.]

Oh I'm pretty sure they'd be on my side.

[She grins, then turns suddenly as Suki is climbing back up onto the stage.]

Okay, I'm up again. I'll talk to you later.

No. Or I don't think so. Maybe I do. But I don't remember anything about it if I have one.

[He wonders if he made a mistake - he shouldn't have tried a kiss. After all, it was one thing for her to get used to dating a shaggy man. Why did he bother to bring hairy kisses into the occasion? He tries to remain casual.]

It just means "Miss" in my language. That's all.

F-Family. Of course. I-I can't help but wonder why you-you haven't spoken to me as much as before though. And you and Saori, I-I don't know what happened between you both but...but I'm just a bit confused by it all.

[ He frowns as he looks at Adele and then down at the floor. He is honestly not sure what to make of all of this. He wants everyone to be happy with one another and be a family. He knows it isn't always like that, but Adele's reaction and sudden change is a bit alarming. ]

[Her expression turns a bit more serious.]

I'm... still pretty nervous about us- this, whatever this is. I've kinda only been with Sokka, so being with someone else is still new to me, so I'm sorry for being weird. I just need to get used to all this.

And, well, I'm used to making the first move. [Adding a little joke to hopefully lighten the mood some.]

Ah! Well I believe the man named Iron Man is actually here. His real name is-is Tony Stark... [ And he's not sure if the secret identity is a big issue so he looks sheepishly back at Zatanna. ]

Not-not that he keeps it a secret, he seems well aware to give it out. But what sort of magic can you do, if you don't mind my inquiring?

[He does smirk at that - and he listens to her words carefully. It sounds like some of his fears. He steps forward to try to quietly take her hands with his own.]

Hey, hey... Suki, I hear you. I've only been with one girl before myself. And she's... not here. It's weird for me, too. Super weird. But... not you! You're super cool and not weird and... I'm sorry. If I'm being too forward. I'm not used to making the first moves.

[She happily takes his hand, grinning. How could she even think about Sokka with him around? Someone who is so understanding and funny. The funny was very important to her.]

You're fine. I was just joking around. And besides, you kinda missed. [She waited a moment for his reaction before going in and giving him a quick kiss. This time on the lips.]
