Slumber Party~ (Backdated)

Who: Belle, Beast, and whoever wants to come!
What: Slumber Party
When: Friday 13th, in the evening.
Where: House 17
Summary: Belle is throwing a slumber party open to the whole village! it's a totally gender equal thing
Rating: PG? PG-13? R because of Isaac?


Belle has spent most of the day preparing the house for the nightly festivities. She went out and got as much food and snacks and she and Beast could carry (which is a lot). She's also swept through every extra room in the house, laying out extra pillows and blankets where guests are sure to find them. Each room has enough sleeping supplies for about two people, so hopefully people will be bringing their own things as she asked.

As far as party plans go, it's a free-for-all. If anyone has any game or activity suggestions then they should come forward with them. After all, this is Belle's first slumber party and she doesn't know all of the traditions just yet. Except for one: pillow fights.

Mingling

[General mingling thread. Have your character arrive, greet other guests as they come, find friends among the crowd, etc.]

Helios is definitely going to mingle and talk to whoever has showed up. He's feeling so much better after last week's events that this is probably something he needed to get himself back on track. It's a fun, innocent, and happy little occasion so he doesn't really mind joining in on things. Feel free to approach or talk to him if you wish.

[As the party begins to kick off Belle will be going around with a tray of treats and offering refreshments. When she gets to Helios she smiles and offers up the tray.]

Oh, Helios. I'm so glad you came.

[ Helios will return the gesture and take an offered glass of juice or whatever is being offered. ]

Well I couldn't resist helping out a bit. I-I mean it's a nice little reprieve from things, so thank you for taking the time out to set it up for everyone as well.

Oh, it's no problem at all. I'm just so glad people came. I was worrying that I had given too short a notice. Are you enjoying yourself?

Ah, well, I'm glad you're having a decent turnout. It's, um, not everyday we have slumber parties here. [ He smiles and nods a little. ]

Oh yes! It's wonderful so far.

[It's a good thing he's in a better mood, because Jack is all smiles and ready for conversation and would likely have talked Helios' ear off otherwise. As it is, he just grins, making his way over with a plate of cookies and holding it out as an offering.]

Would you care for a cookie? They're from the bakery; Rapunzel makes the most amazing things there.

[ A very good thing because cookies just don't taste the same in a bad mood, especially homemade cookies. Helios will turn to the offered plate a bright smile touching his lips as he does so. ]

Oh! Well if Rapunzel made them I can't exactly say no. She is a very good cook when it comes to sweets. [ And Helios will take one and munch on it happily. ]

[Jack beams as Helios takes the cookie and snags one for himself now that he isn't going to be the only one munching from the plate.]

She is, isn't she? Just the other day she introduced me to these fabulous confections called red velvet cookies. I had never heard of them before, but they were absolutely delicious.

Mm yes she is. Ah! Red velvet cake is positively delicious. [ He smiles as he takes another cookie to snack on. ]

It's the cream cheese frosting I think. You picked a good person to taste test from at least.

[Well, Aladdin was excited to help out with the party, but when it comes to actual socializing, it turns out he's not so hot. He's mostly hanging out in the corner, being reclusive, smiling awkwardly and greeting people when pressed but otherwise keeping to himself.

It seems our street-rat is a lot less cocky about socializing than he is about stealing. Who knew?]

[It looks like Aladdin may have met his match in non-sociable men. Now that the party has started to settle, Beast finds himself with little to do except step back and watch the guests comingle.

Oh wait, he hasn't greeted Aladdin yet. He can do that! ... But it's easier said than done, and he quickly remembers how they met when he first came to Luceti. Awkward...]

Ih, uh... h-hello. W... welcome.

[Nervous grin.]

"Oh, uh. Hey."

[Awkward grin.]

"Hey, I wanted to say I'm sorry. About... when I arrived."

[Not that he was entirely certain he'd done anything wrong, but he certainly wanted to try and patch things up. Beast seemed like a nice enough guy.

[Riku does a double take when he sees Aladdin. There's a face he hadn't expected to see. Granted, he never had direct encounters with the guy, but seeing how he kidnapped Jasmine...

Hoo boy.

Thankfully, after meeting Beast and Belle, he knows there's a possibility this Aladdin has no clue who he is. Rather than confuse the guy by calling out his name, Riku opts for a more neutral route and waltzes on over with a smile.]

Not much of a party animal?

"Not really."

[He scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.]

"I never got invited to many back home."

[Heh. Riku can guess why, but he won't call attention to it.]

Well, you won't have to worry about that here. This whole place is accommodating-- maybe a little too accommodating at times.

[Not that he's complaining, but it's amazing how friendly the atmosphere is.]

[ Helios sees you wallflowering it up Aladdin and he knows just the thing to offer to get you to talk. Helios will offer the other man a plate of some food with a smile. Helios has his own but there's a little bit of everything on the two plates. ]

Care for something to eat?

"Oh! Uh."

[Well, he's actually not that hungry, but he recognizes an attempt to be friendly when he sees one, so he takes the second plate with a grin.]

"Thank you."

You're quite welcome! There's so many delicious looking things here I just have to try them all. [ Helios will smile brightly as the other takes said plate. ]

I don't think we've ever met before. Helios Sprensonne, it's a pleasure to meet you.

[Belle has left the front door wide open and stands in front of it to welcome people as they come in. She'll direct people to drop their food off in the kitchen, and their sleeping equipment in one of the bedrooms. When the crowd begins to settle she'll go around offering people refreshments. It's important to her to be a good host.]

[Eleanor isn't even entirely sure why she had decided to come, but she had, so there she is, walking quietly up to the open door in a swishy, long black skirt and a pretty dark purple vest, her hands clenched nervously behind her back. But she manages a smile at Belle when she sees her by the door.]

Ah...Hello.

[She smiles immediately when she catches sight of Eleanor and welcomes her in. Belle is glad that she chose to come. She had not been sure that she would.]

Hello, Eleanor. I'm so glad you could make it. People are only just arriving now, but there is food in the kitchen and plenty of places to sit inside.

[She doesn't move much further inside than the door, looking around almost sheepishly.]

...Are you expecting it to be very crowded?

[While the party wasn't his idea, Beast is completely dedicating himself to overseeing the arrangments, making sure everyone's stuff has settled accordingly, and overall ensuring that everything is running smoothly. This is his first time truly hosting an event, after all, and if only for Belle's sake he wants to prove he can do the job well!

Guests can typically find Beast wandering around the parlour area, prepared to lead unattended individuals to the spare bedrooms, organising the food table (and possibly stealing a snack or five), or just greeting individuals. He is on his best behaviour tonight! For now.]

[Whether he's been roped into it or ended up coming of his own accord, Rudy will be present. At least for the early half of the party anyway, helping set up the food and mingling. Or trying to. As friendly an exterior he tries to put on, actively socializing still wasn't exactly his strong point, especially during parties.

When he's sure no one else is looking he'll quietly slip out of the party later on, not exactly wanting others to see what's going on underneath his jacket. The curse may not be a problem now, but it still didn't fix the other half of his issues.]
