Who: Gai, Elizabeth, and all invited (and possibly some uninvited) guests
What: A wedding!
When: Just before sunset on June 30th
Where: The beach
Summary: Finally, after much planning, pre-wedding jitters, and ice cream consumed, this is it. The big day. Gai and Elizabeth are finally getting married. (Never mind the fact they've been technically married since the draft... shhhh.)
Rating: Keep it G, people, this is a public venue.
[The ocean has returned, the day is clear and sunny, and wedding fever is back in the air.]
[This time the location is the beach, and between the setting sun, the waves, and the decor there is no lack of ambiance. little battery-powered votives in paper lanters litter the space, and larger lanterns line a yellow petal aisle that leads up to a decorative arch with a few chairs. Over to the side is the reception set up, which looks like it can accommodate more guests than the ceremony. Frames draped with chiffon and lit with little electric light strings indicate both food and bar/drink areas, and similar setups surround both small and large tables for seating, lit both with electric lights and votives in varying glass jars. And of course, there’s music and an open floor for dancing.]
((OOC: Close CR/specifically invited friends are welcome at the ceremony, but the party is definitely for anyone who wants to come see the spectacle or welcome back the ocean! ♥ ))

Before you say anything else: tell me that doesn't involve a corset too.
no subject
The only thing that outfit and this dress have in common is lace.
no subject
Well, you've certainly got my attention now. The only thing that could make it better would be if it also included the garter.
no subject
Well... that's the trouble with going more or less barefoot. I didn't need garters...

[And he leans down to press another kiss to her lips to chase away that look of unease.]
Whatever it is, I'll love it because you're the one wearing it.
no subject
I did pick it out because I thought you'd love it too, you know. I was very considerate of how you would feel looking at me in it! And just for that, you'd better love it. [Her turn to joke.]
no subject
[He hums against her lips, smiling.]
I might like that too. You did marry a dangerous man, after all.
no subject
I knew you were dangerous the minute I realized I didn't want to say goodnight to you after Eugene's birthday.
no subject
And to think I'd originally just been looking for some fun.

[This time he isn't joking around at all-- he's 100% serious.]
no subject
You looked like someone I could trust.
no subject
But it would seem she'd seen right through him that night.]
Guess I wasn't as good at bluffing as I thought I was.
no subject
But who knows. [She shrugs, then delicately laces her fingers through Gai's.] Maybe you were bluffing your little heart out, and I was trying so hard to look like there wasn't anything different about me, and we both just knew.
no subject
I like that answer even better. It leaves my ego intact.
no subject
[...well it would be limping along until Gai got her into bed, at least. Then it would have ample time to recharge its batteries.]
no subject
[And he'll just take a brief opportunity to press himself up against her before pulling away to resume a more respectable distance.
This still counts as behaving himself, okay.]
no subject
I thought that was my line, Mr. Tell-Me-If-It-Hurts.
no subject
Touche. I was just trying to be courteous and not bring that up.

[Which is a lie and they both know it-- his French is more than decent after spending as much time in Africa as he did, even if he is slightly rusty on it now.]
no subject
[Wilting flower that she is.]
no subject
[Wouldn't THAT be interesting.]
no subject
[Surprise Gai, she's dipping herself-- think fast.]
