Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[Where there's a party, Grell is so there. It doesn't matter that she's not really a new New Feather. This is her first time here as far as she's concerned and coming here, seeing New and Old faces, she's hoping it'll jog some important memories. So here she is, folks, ready and willing to charm any handsome men and talk the girly talk with the women! Never mind that she's about 6'1 in her heels and wearing a fitted red and black dress rather than what some would assume should be more appropriate masculine attire considering her body. She doesn't care and she's going to be working this room.]

Well hey there, uh...[He pauses, remembering his courtesy.] Babe. What are you doing here all alone for?

[Well, hello there. She knows of you better now through Smoker, but she's not going to say that. Instead, Lupin gets a fancy flourish of a curtsey.]

Good day, Monsieur Lupin. Perhaps you'd like to keep a poor lamb like me company?

Okay, the whole thing. The Marine is one of the few people he's met in Luceti that he actually trusts.

Lupin bows himself in return, with a theatrical flourish. His smile is nothing but gentlemanly, but he's clearly amused.]

I doubt a lady as striking as yourself would be in much want of company, but I'd be honored if you would deign to accept my humble presence.

For a woman like you? I'm honored you'd consider me to be the right partner for the evening. [Sweetly, chastly, he kisses that inquisitive hand.]

It seems you've learned your manners then, Monsieur. I would be happy to have to at my side for tonight.

[She curtseys again at the chaste kiss and when she straightens, her smile is just a bit this side of lost innocence.]

So tell me, what is it that you do, love? Here, I mean. It's rather difficult to find ways to... [kill everyone who should be dead] ...entertain myself.

... Okay no I won't go there, but he's going to be passing here and look a little oddly at that attire and perhaps more pressingly at her thermal read which I'm sure is a little unique or... something...]

[Well, since he was staring anyway, Grell turns to look at him.]

My name is Scorpius. ["What" will just be dismissed. Really, she's odder - that heat signature, the attire and the body mix. Both of those go unsaid though, instead he just stands more straight backed and forms his hands behind his back]

And... ask for the "look," it is necessary, I'm afraid.

Necessary, is it? Uniform or-- [She narrows her eyes at him, nope. No strange eye colors that she can tell.] --simply comfort?

That is a lovely gown Madame.

[Because truly? It was. Adele was entirely sincere in the compliment, a gown that would flatter the masculine and rather tall figure that this woman has? Would have to be well tailored. And this one was quite lovely and helped the woman wearing it, in turn, look lovely. Amelie would be envious.]

Isn't it? [Have a little twirl to show it off.] Fits like a dream and feels like silk on the skin.

[She ends the twirl with a curtsey.]

It's so nice to have another woman to discuss these things with.

While I do not often dress as such myself? I know enough to compliment a well made and well suited garment when I see one.

[Adele went over her mental checklist, one that Amelie forced her to memorize. Draping? Good, Lines? Good. Texture? Good. Color? Excellent.] Though I must admit. Now I feel somewhat underdressed.

[As she'd just come from her two hour shift at the clinic? Slacks and a button down. Tailored for her by her sister, yes, but nowhere near as fine as this woman's gown.]

Oh and why not dress in such a manner? You have such a lovely face. It's a shame not to compliment the rose with the perfect vase.

I just came from the clinic and had no time to change. [And, this may make her a little flustered. Compliments on her appearance still throw her off, just a little.] I, thank you Madame.

There's always time to change or at least spruce up a little. Come here.

[Grell takes no refusals and grabs Adele's wrist lightly, to try and drag her off toward the closest bathroom.]

[Oh, my. If Grell's not getting the eye from men and women alike, she is clearly doing something wrong. Perona herself gazes over the rim of her teacup at the impressive ensemble, her eyes traveling from the woman's head to her heels. Behind the cup, Perona's lips curl into an appreciative smirk, before she finally takes a sip of her tea.

Setting down her little cup with a clink, the little loligoth smiles and crosses her leg over the other.]

If I had known this was a formal event, I would have dressed nicer. ...Though I haven't been able to find anything suiting my tastes other than what I already own.

[Oh, it's a child. ..Not a child. A thing. Grell looks over and hesitates as she tries to decide whether it's more prudent to play nice or just move along.

But talk about clothes? Playing nice seems better.]

I hear there is a tailor and a seamstress somewhere in town. Perhaps chatting them up would be prudent?

[Excuse me, she is a teenager, thank you very much. :| Perona waves of her ghost so she can focus more on talking, and perks right up. On, a seamstress! Finally, she can get her own custom made apparel - fitted just for her and to suit her needs. The things she found in the other stores was so bland and not to her tastes. Cute, maybe, but not cute enough. That or it didn't fit. What a shame.]

Oh? Is that correct? Would you happen to know where to locate this person? I've only just arrived some time ago, [Much to her distaste, you see.] and I haven't been able to find my way around very much. I'd be very appreciative of your help....m-miss.

[It's miss, right? This person looked rather masculine, but...who's she to judge? If it's beneficial to her, Perona will talk to and befriend anyone.]

Ooh, I just arrived myself, so I'm not certain. Something about "Passions"? I do believe it's on the map, however.

[Which Grell would look up, but this outfit? No pockets.]

Oh, I think I've read of that!

[Perona claps her hands together, holding them at her chest. Her ensembles doesn't exactly suit pockets much either, but she'd been trying to memorize the map in her journal for a while now, especially the locations of various people and things she'll certainly be using on a daily basis.]

I'm glad to know it;s unlike the other clothing store - there was nothing cute there at all! And all the cute clothes, boots, and hats were all for children, or wouldn't fit around my chest. Will they really make something just for me? Horohoro, at this rate, I'll have to find a bigger closet to keep all my things!

Oh, I know. It's absolutely dreadful the clothing choices here. Dull and frumpy at the clothing store or waiting in line for Passions. I have heard there may be another store opening, competition if one may call it that, but I do wonder what their designs are like.

[Girl talk is awesome, let's be friends. ;A;9 ...Also yes, larger closets. Grell is just going to use one of the apartment rooms for a mega-walk-in.]
