Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

( days 4 - 5 / may 29th - 30th )

[ Even though during the rest of the event Kotomi is pretty much normal, it's during these two days that Kotomi does seem different. By a lot, really, considering she's gone back to being a little kid. Not that Kotomi as a kid looks all that different from regular older Kotomi, it's just that she's a lot smaller and her hair is a lot shorter as well, even if the hair decorations are the same.

She does seem a little more meek than the older Kotomi though, as if she's closer to going into her wibbling-at-bullies mode than usually. Still, she's actually gathered enough courage to go out of the safe place called inside and walk through the village just a little. She's definitely glancing around her cautiously all that time though. ]

[Ikki's not a happy camper right now, then again it's understandable, he woke up in this strange place again and of course there's still no sign of Shun around. If it wasn't because he actually kind of remembers having been here and that his brother wasn't here the kid would be having a heart attack by now. But no matter what he remembers, there's still the issue that he's trapped here while his brother is at the mercy of that witch. There must be an exit somewhere, people leave this place the whole time, don't they? He remembers that. So there must be an exit, even if it's a magical one that keeps changing places, but if it's so then staying in one place waiting won't help.

So he goes outside, in hopes of suddenly finding himself back with his brother to stop that witch from taking him away. That doesn't stop him from noticing a very cute girl who seems to be a bit lost or something. Heh, he remembers that back the first time he was here there were a lot of kids like him that were all lost. At least now it's not the middle of winter. Still he approaches her, it's not as if he has anything better to do.]

Are you lost?

[ .. Ah, it's another person. Even if it's not an adult but a kid like her, it's still.. scary to meet someone like this. She's already lost to begin with, just like he's asking, but she's hardly ever even left her house. Her house and the garden, those two things were her entire world, but now she's in this strange surroundings, with this strange boy talking to her.. She can't help but feel scared, and for a few moments she stares at the ground as if that might make him disappear or somehow solve the situation. How does she even talk to other people..

In the end she can't even force a sound out of her mouth, she just nods while she's staring at the ground like that. ]

[Ikki just blinks and tilts his head at the lack of verbal answer. Wow, she looks quite scared on top of being lost apparently. He scratches his head for a moment before he steps closer.]

Hey, it's okay, don't worry. I'm lost too and trying to find the way back, why don't we search together? My name's Ikki.

[ It's okay..? Is it really? If he says he's lost.. he probably wouldn't lie, would he? He's just as old as her, after all, and she's never really had contact with people before a whole lot..

But.. just maybe it's alright. So even though it's rather meekly, she nods back at him and speaks up with her tiny voice. ]

.. Kotomi. My name is.. Kotomi Ichinose. I need to go back home or my parents will get worried..

[Wow, she's as adorable as Shun.]

Aha! So you can talk! It's nice to meet you, Kotomi-chan. Here, let's try to find the exit to this place together. Don't worry I'll take care of you.

[Reaching out with one hand, still smiling confidently and bravely.]

[ This boy seems so confident.. With him talking like that she really does feel like she can entrust this to him, like he can really help her find the exit. She doesn't know him, but he doesn't seem like a bad person, not while he's smiling like that, so.. ]

You will..? [ she almost seems a little surprised, even if she's still shy. ] Even if big, scary guys would come..?

[That makes him laugh a bit.]

Big guys aren't a problem for me! I've dealt with them already, I'll just beat them all and then escape. They aren't very clever anyway.

[The only problem are strange crazy girls with powers, but he's not going to mention that. He knows Pandora isn't here.]

Besides! I'm friends with a marine, he's like a policeman! He's a big guy but he's a good one, a man of true justice, not like those who like to send children to orphanages no matter what they say. He will help us if we need it.

[ Wow, so cool..! A boy she doesn't know who's strong enough to deal with scary guys who are older, she's completely amazed. She even gasps a little. ]

You are.. strong. Hmm, Ikki-kun's really, really strong-.. w-wait, it's okay for me to say Ikki-kun, right..?

[ Kotomi didn't answer when she had tried calling her today. And that was strange. Usually it was the otherway around. Kotomi always kept her journal on her, right?

It was time to pay her a visit. It's not like she'd mind her just dropping by.

However, she didn't need to get all the way there to find her. Or at least...what she thought was her...

There was a young child walking, who looked like the spitting image of her. Shiki had been here long enough to know that things got strange fast in Luceti...but this? ]

Kotomi...chan?

[ -- Ah! It's someone who knows her name.. Little Kotomi immediately looks surprised, but from surprised it quickly goes to scared too. After all, why would someone she doesn't even know know her name? She can't help but shake in fear a little all the same. ]

.. Y-.. yes, that's me..

[ Crap, she was shaking. What the hell was going on today, everything was messed up.

Shiki bent down, keeping a calm face. It didn't look like Kotomi recognized her. And this was definitely Kotomi...even if she looked like a little kid. First thing was first... ]

Do you know me?

.. No. [ She shakes her head as if to reinstate her point. She doesn't know this girl at all, she's never met anyone like her - and it's not like she's met many people before in general.. ]

M-my parents say I shouldn't talk to strangers..

[ ...What the hell was going on? Shiki stood up, trying her best to avoid looking to the girl, lest she scares her even more. ]

Your parents are right. [ She looked around, before talking again. ] Do you know where you're going?

.. I'm lost. [ At least she admits that honestly, because she really doesn't know what else to do.. ]

I don't even know where I am.. or where they are..

Hmm. [ This had to be another one of the experiments. Tch...Why Kotomi? Why couldn't they just leave her alone?

What was she gonna do now? She can't just leave her like this. She'd only get more lost. She bent down to Kotomi. She had to reassure her, first thing is first. ]

I'm an acquaintance of the Ichinose's. [ Please..believe her. She kept her tone of voice soft, to not startle the girl. ] Is it okay if I stay with you so you don't get lost? I'll try to help you find your parents.

[ Kotomi just stares at her for quite some time. Sure, people might lie, but.. as a kid she's just as gullible as she is when she's older, so she slowly starts to nod. ]

You really know where they are..?

[Smoker is kind of scary as one of the most intimidating marines on the ocean, but sadly, being Nico Robin doesn't completely lessen this. Still, he leans down (don't mind the boobs, they're on loan and will be returned shortly) and rests a hand gently on Kotomi's head.]

Kotomi-chan? Are you okay?

[ Kotomi can't help but be a little scared regardless, really - she hardly meets strangers, so whenever she does it just feels.. really scary. Not matter how nice they look. It's why she shakes a little considering this stranger knows her name, and they're touching her head like that.. ]

.. I-.. I'm lost, but.. [ more importantly ] .. why do you know my name..?

We're friends. It's a long story. [Removes the hand.] You want help getting somewhere?

[ We're friends..? Huh? She doesn't even remember this person, but.. ah! She understands, this must be a friend of her parents! That's great, she can go home that way, right? She starts smiling eagerly. ]

Hmm, I need help getting home. My parents will get really worried if I don't, but.. you know them, right?

[Another frown.] They're not here in Luceti. But I can take you to your home with other friends.

.. Friends..? [ Her gaze turns just slightly wary. ]

B-but.. I don't remember having any..

You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you I'm from the future, but I'm not a fan of lying to kids. Besides, you're smart, so you deserve the truth.

You're from the future? .. You're just like the person in a book I read, then.. she said she came from the future too with a time machine. [ yes, she seems to accept the idea. ]
